I think the points thing is going to be irrelevant. I'm done with them now! Washing my hands of them just like I have City. Both as pathetic and embarrassing!

I thought they looked out of gas on Sunday to be honest and that's apparent today. It takes a lot out of guys mentally to go through what they have, very difficult to keep picking yourself up.

 

Just to rub it in, it looks like Glamorgan have prepared a docile pitch today.

Massively unfair city have had a double relegation in the last 2 years the county have had a first promotion in 23 years and a cup final and we would probably stay up this season based on on the field results. 

 

When did we become such entitled babies? You win some and lose some in sport and life take it on the chin!

Aware I sound like we were in league 1 once here but **** me we have had it far worse in very recent memory.

What's ironic is that we have chosen to bat today after winning the toss in tricky conditions at the end of Sept when several times earlier in the season we put teams in on featherbed pitches in baking heat.

Maybe I was abit harsh earlier but as others have said, we could've had a better chance of staying up if the off field management was better from coaching to recruitment. Now send the pitch inspectors to Edgebaston! 🤣

Hopefully Handscombe will be back next season, we have really missed his calm approach, then we need a quick bowler as our second overseas. 
Rishi leaving may not be a bad thing for both parties, too many scores of 20-30 in all competitions and hardly ever seems to take it on, Blake for Cox is going to be a downgrade and we will seriously miss him.

Shiekh is a positive, looks like we have a quality player there. 
Hill, Patel, Trevaskis and Cox going, not sure about others. I’d imagine there would be a bit of ££ in the salary pot to bring in a couple of players who can make a difference.

Yes, he was talking about it with Cook, Bumble and Gough on this week's episode of 'Stick to Cricket', about 50 minutes in. Said the penalty was very unfair when he saw worse pitches week in, week out.

Don’t think we are out of this yet tbh. Think those late runs at the end of the innings might keep us in touch after Warwick’s’ innings. 
 

Disagree with criticism of county this season, we’ve been really naive at times and we are inconsistent. If the coach hadn’t been such a nob, I’d say a good effort by us. Lessons learned and hopefully back there in summer 2028

Always the way, we were only 7-8 minutes from going off for bad light with 39 without loss on the board. Instead they couldn't wait to send Gumbs on his way, with the second wicket in the gloom almost inevitable.
