Wicket does look really green. Any news on how bad Patel's injury is?

I think a dislocation rather than break. However that can be nearly as bad.

They were hoping he can bat tomorrow.

Mike batted really well. Must have had a brain transplant. Bowled well also.

I reckon Patel be out tomorrow think 7 is as high as he can bat

Can't be that many players in the Championship - or even world cricket - who open with the ball AND the bat.

I'm aware circumstances forced Holland's hand a little bit today, but we might need to lighten his workload a little in the coming weeks.

Mike's a capable bat when he's in the mood. Think if he'd converted that 99* where he got stranded a few seasons ago then he might have pushed on on that regard. Would have given him great confidence.

Ideally, we want to be at least 250 ahead by lunch tomorrow, then have 5 sessions to get the game done. Maybe getting bowled out around 400 would be ideal.

Batted well today, looked in good touch.

Played brilliantly. Didn't look out to me either, but certainly wasn't worth the risk.

Has any FC team ever carded a guy with 4000 first class runs to their name at number 11 - it must be a very small club if not unheard of?

Ben Cox also went past 6000 FC runs in the same innings.

Jack Simmons later on his career can't think of anyone else off hand
