If it’s doing stuff for Luis Reece, it should also hopefully suit a bowler like Holland. But really this is pathetic. From what I’ve seen the pitch isn’t doing much at all.

Either the pitch has suddenly turned into a minefield or we've had a collective brainfart. This has now given Derby a chance of still winning this game.

Hopefully the pitch is a nightmare and we're getting a go at their lower order on it. Otherwise

One gone already, a beauty nipping back from Holland.

Not sure what's going on here.  Its almost like we were more intent on trying to stop them getting extra bowling points than trying to get extra batting points.  I mean how did we not get the 400 bonus point, which we only needed to go at 3 an over to get! Now we are going no where and losing wickets for next to nothing and have handed the initiative back to Derby,  Oh and Kimber needs binning! To think that both Cox and Scriven are out of the team, while he takes up one of their places is an absolute joke decision.

I never want to see Kimber in the XI for a four day game again. His whole demeanour suggested that he wasn't going to last more than ten minutes.

Regardless of the pitch, from a collective perspective, that's some of the most idiotic batting we've ever produced (and I include the era when Ned Eckersley was single handedly getting LCCC into three figures every innings).

Lost the last 7 wickets for 39 runs. Gotta be up there with one of our worst ever collapses.

That is a trupy shocking morning. Honestly, I can’t quite fathom it.

I fear the likes of Jewel and Madsen are going to make us pay heavily for this morning. Derby now know they are right back in with a chance of winning this.

Really? I mean we should've got 450+ but it's still 400 on the board for 1st innings & possibly they'll have to bat last on it too.

Already 1 down and we have the better pace & spin options too, as you say unless either of the above players gets a tonne we should be ok.

They're already making good progress in response.

Yes we are in trouble here. I would have never have thought we would be

in this position this morning. Crazy how it can turn around. Only we could mess this up.

I know it’s easy to blame kimber but I can’t help thinking that cox sures up our middle order game after game so it seems very strange to drop him.

Cox or Scriven would have been the much better option and the former keeping Hanscombe fresh for batting. Kimber coming in and giving his wicket away when we'd just lost any time pressure to score runs really isn't great.

Kimber prior to today averaged 26 from 61 innings. Take away the ridiculous 243 and that would be 22.

He scored those 243 runs so fair play, I'm not trying to do him a disservice but it does further expose that he's really got a very poor record as a batter in this format.

Scrivo and Cox both average 28 and Swindells averages just over 26 as well. Feel like any would have been a more reliable option on batting alone.
