I make you right. Think Kent have massively underperformed this season but have some real quality. That's not a bottom of the pile squad, they could push Glamorgan hard.

Good day all round

Yeah Kent have been really poor with the players they have

Mad day. Really thought they'd blown it until Derbyshure decided to act like they'd never seen a turning ball before.

Rehan was the third spinner today too. Wild.

Kimber prior to today averaged 26 from 61 innings. Take away the ridiculous 243 and that would be 22.

He scored those 243 runs so fair play, I'm not trying to do him a disservice but it does further expose that he's really got a very poor record as a batter in this format.

Scrivo and Cox both average 28 and Swindells averages just over 26 as well. Feel like any would have been a more reliable option on batting alone.

Does seem very odd that we've left Cox out again in the CC. Unless he has some sort of knock that means they don't want to risk him in a 4 day game.

Allowed them to play Kimber as an extra spinner. Guess they were unsure how Rehan might go after his injury.

Interesting stat on our innings:

Leicestershire's total is the lowest completed innings to include three centuries in the history of county cricket, beating 422 by Essex against Glamorgan at Swansea in 1995.

I’d bat again but if the pitch really is deteriorating, it must be tempting to put them back in and get the innings win. Risky though.

Have to agree, if they follow on & set us 120 -150, batting last on a deteriorating pitch it would be very nervy. Bat tomorrow, even if we only manage 150-200, can't see them getting 350-400 to win on a 4th day pitch, that seems to be turning already.

Agree, forecast is good as well, so don't have to worry about lost overs.

Would also defy the point of choosing to bat in the first place. You don’t want to be batting 4th on a turning wicket. The more I think about it, it makes sense to bat again. Even if it’s a complete disaster 300-350 will be a near impossible chase.

I agree, bat again, rack them up and put them under a lot of pressure. Get Madsen and we win.

Gloucs and Northants are under the pump and with Glamorgan going well Derbyshire will have a load of pressure.

Anyone going down tomorrow or any of the World Cricket legends matches at Grace Road? Looking forward to seeing what it's all about and maybe pick up a few signatures!

But wonder what numbers will be like given tickets are still freely available

Saw some clips of that and it looked absolutely awful. Got guys that have just retired playing against 50 year old pace bowlers. Very weird

Not many legends playing England have Ali Bell and maybe Cook and Morgan  if they are not working at the test match. .SA have De Villiers and Amla other then that it's pretty uninspiring.Would have thought  the double header with India who do have a few big names playing will get a decent turnout next week but don't expect more then 500 max at today's game

Just to add regarding autographs should be easy enough today but you never usually get  anywhere near the India side when they play at GR

John Emburey still  taking wickets at 73  for Lashings but spinners can play forever

Luis Reece is bowling 70mph spinners basically. Wild stuff

He's basically unplayable on this pitch, it seems.

Patel has had a stinker of a season. Combining the start of this innings with the end of our first innings, we've now lost 8 wickets for about 40 runs.

Are there any decent openers in the seconds? We seem a bit light and he is clearly having a form blip this season.

Part of me thinks we could declare now and we’d have enough but if we can get a lead up to 400 around tea then I think we’ll be fine.
