Father Ted Posted 17 May 2007 Posted 17 May 2007 Get Jensen in, a brilliant player and when given a chance at Fulham made an impact.
Mort Posted 17 May 2007 Posted 17 May 2007 Jensen could be very handy for us IMHO... he'd not be the "Be all and end all" of solving our midfeild problem, but he'd help and be an excellent player to have in the squad... if we can we should move for him!
Bryn Posted 17 May 2007 Posted 17 May 2007 Jensen is a classy player, would be a real coup to get him. I think he'll go to a Prem club though. Birmingham perhaps.
Cobbo Posted 17 May 2007 Posted 17 May 2007 Jensen rejected a one year deal from Fulham so is a free agent. Just the type of player we need, real quality. Snap him up Milan http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ham/6666547.stm
MPH Posted 17 May 2007 Posted 17 May 2007 "I would like to think we could get someone better even if it isn't on a free. Stefanovic or De Zeeuw for example " dezeeuw is 37... cant see MM going for a 37 year old when we are trying to move forward...
Brainy Posted 17 May 2007 Posted 17 May 2007 Just look at what Norwich, West Ham and Watford did with Malkay Mackay
Durnerz Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Henrick Pedersons been released by Bolton, would he be any good here? From what I remember he knows where the net is and can fill in as a right back also. Thoughts?
Ric Flair Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Henrick Pedersons been released by Bolton, would he be any good here? From what I remember he knows where the net is and can fill in as a right back also. Thoughts? Good shout, we do need SOME experience and he could be perfect for that. I think we only need a couple of experienced players though, don't want to see us bring in 6 or 7 33 year olds.
Leonisco Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Jensen is a class act, that would be a massive coup if we could get him in. Also, Tommy Miller's just been let go by Sunderland (link) - decent attacking midfielder, gets his fair share of goals, could be just what we need.
City Fan Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Henrik Pederson, Quinton Fortune and David Thompson have all been told they can leave Bolton.....
breadandcheese Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Is it me or does there seem to be more players than usual being released? It's possible to build a good team from free signings this summer. Claus Jensen Henrik Pederson David Thompson David Unsworth Malcolm Christie Tony Capaldi Julian Gray
STUHILL Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 This is why we need a new manager in sooner rather than later! These players aren't guna want to hang around with no job for too long! A lot of these players will be in talks with other cubs as we speak!!
Geo V Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Is it me or does there seem to be more players than usual being released? It's possible to build a good team from free signings this summer.Claus Jensen Henrik Pederson David Thompson David Unsworth Malcolm Christie Tony Capaldi Julian Gray I mentioned this a while back but its all to do with the fact that the Prem clubs have so much money to spend that even players who we think are ordinarily to good almost to let go are made available. I think loads of these clubs will end up in D1 next season as there wont be any room for them.
Mort Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Claus Jensen, Tommy Miller, Henrik Pederson, Quinton Fortune, David Thompson... all would be good or even great players to bring in, both Jensen and Pederson are players i'd be very happy to have here, ditto Fortune and I think that a decent manager could bring them to City... the free transfers that are emerging are looking pretty decent and are providing clubs with some real bargins IMHO!
lookwhaticando Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 Henrik Pederson, Quinton Fortune and David Thompson have all been told they can leave Bolton..... If they were good enough for Big Sam...
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 18 May 2007 Posted 18 May 2007 I don't think Tommy Miller from Sunderland would be a step back. He might be a useful midfielder, still with something to prove!!
Brainy Posted 19 May 2007 Posted 19 May 2007 McCarthy begins Wolves clear-out Wolves manager boss Mick McCarthy has released four players and made another four available for transfer. Striker Carl Cort, midfielder Rohan Ricketts and goalkeeper Michael Oakes are now free agents. And striker Craig Davies is also leaving as his season-long loan spell from Verona has come to an end. Denes Rosa, Jamie Clapham, Jemal Johnson and Tomasz Frankowski have been placed on the transfer list as McCarthy prepares to freshen up his squad.

I wouldnt mind Ricketts to be honest, but we could probably get better, definetely better than what we have. Good squad player.

Carl Cort could be a canny signing, if we get a manager that can play to his strengths Cort can be unstoppable. However like at Wolves if things don't go his way he is useless. A risk worth taking??

A lot of these players will be in talks with other cubs as we speak!! But according to Milan he's looking at players himself and not waiting for a manager. Didn't he describe it as certain quality players that any manager would want.
HankMarvin Posted 19 May 2007 Posted 19 May 2007 Radzinski been released he could do a job 4 us next season
MBK Posted 19 May 2007 Posted 19 May 2007 I'd rather take Jensen and Crossley. We need to get the right player in. Blowing away wages when a big contract is not the only attraction for good players will be immense stupidity. Hence, we should be somewhat selective.

MBK Posted 19 May 2007 Posted 19 May 2007 you joking aren't you?why the hell would we want/need to sign a 38year old fat bloke? Don't tell me he isn't better than what we've got. If he isn't, explains second part of my post i.e. that we need to be selective and make sure we get the right type.
