Wait a minute, has he actually signed yet?? Or is this a wasted 10-page thread of bickering???

P.s. Make that 11!! lol

Curious lack of linkage so far. I'm often wrong, but this does seem to another 11 page "Let's all talk b*ll*cks" thread!

The beginning of the end.

That means something started. What was that?

Cant see the point in signing JFH. Might as well sign The Hoff. The strickers need service not more stickers. I'm with MA on this one.

Mandy has realised Allen's prepared to persist with MDV and is doing something about it, it should give him a chance of being a success here ;)

Or so I like to think  I don't want Hasselbaink here if it means we're not going to bring in anymore leftys.

We're going to buy Ken Livingstone and Che Guevara.

And play them up front.

I thought that we may be bringing 3 or 4 players in? Why would a striker signing mean that we wont be adding a midfielder and defender as previously suggested by MM?!

I suppose Kenton was so outstanding the other day that we dont need anymore defenders? !! :|

I will be so happy if he signs, fair enough he's 35 but he can still do it at this level and should be fit after training with Chelsea.

I am on the happy cloud peeing on the heads of all these pessimistic fools on this site (PS who's the fairy with the pink umbrella? I'll still get ya).

The simple fact of the matter is that MA needs a big man up front - its been shown by his team selection and it was shown by the way they played 'football' on Saturday.

Now, Jimmy may not be a big man compared to MDV (well, we'll never know ;) ), but anyho, if its a choice between the two big men JFH and MDV its JFH every bloody single time. He may be getting on but you dont lose ability, because JFH has that in abundance. Especially compared to MDV.

Bring him on i say, he'll bag goals for sure. And if it upsets MA then i dont give a feck, he better bloody play him cos hes giot something that none of our strikers have got and thats a bit of class. Sure we paid a lot for DJ, but its the inflated prices nowadays - 2 million means nothin.

He has the class and ability.

Long live JFH!

not keen on this one

when he's in the mood theres not been many better over the years

but old and sulky and i can't see him embracing some of MAs team bonding exercises

when the squad gets told to have a swim in the Soar in January, can't imagine JFH being the first to do some top bombing!

thats if he can find some trunks big enough for his fat arse

No matter who comes in, they always get abused!

Maybe because he looked shit and past it last season.

Probably on a rather large salary per week.

The manager isn't too keen on him.

He won't end up being all that.

He's 35 with his best years behind him don't think he has the legs or mentality to cope with the Championship as he thinks he's too good.

The fact is people are all getting a stonk on because he was decent 5 years ago.

We don't need another striker we need some competant wingers.

Would be glad to see him here, he can score. No two ways about it. May have struggled last year ( 2 in 25 ) but championship defences are a different matter.
