Vacamion Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 No matter how much we all love the game, there IS more to life than football, as last night proved. Get well soon.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Haven't been able to think about anything else since I heard at the ground. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and my thoughts are with Clive and his family.

Telberto Carlos Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 All thoughts from the more sensible Forest fans are with Clive Clarke and his family at this difficult time. Somethings are most definitely more important than football and I never thought I would hear myself say that. Heres to a speedy and full recovery.
Mikey Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Get well soon Clive Clarke. Best wishes too you and your family.

STUHILL Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Very disturbing incident last night, especially after the Puerta death days before. I am just glad medical team was there straight away. I hope he has full recovery. I think potentially it could mean he is finished playing for us this year at least. Depends what the condition was, but even if he does fully recover physically, always hard to get a shock like that out of your head. Mentally, could take him lot longer. Look forward to hearing some positive news soon! As for our LB situation, I think with all respect to Clarke, then MM and MA will have to act swiftly in bringing in another loanee. I think Clarke made a vast improvement to our back four, so could be hard to replace at such short notice. Thoughts are with you Clarke and Family!
FleckneyFox Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 No wonder the players were shook up mouth to mouth and de-fib in the drssing room that must be disturbing to watch whenever i watch Holby (not very often) when they get them out its not good news. Get well soon Clive
Bryn Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Hello Leicester fans.Im a Sevilla F.c. Supporter... Sorry but my english is not so good... Today we had a terrible day with one of our football players, Antonio Puerta. He didnt won the fight with the dead... All my good wishes to Clive Clarke, he's gonna get better, im sure about it! Come on clive! Hugs to everyone I think Puerta's death is central to why it was so necesssary for the game to be called off. Puerta died shortly earlier, and no footballer could be unshaken by that. "What if it happens to me?" "What if it happens to my colleague/friend?" Most players were already shaken before hand by this I would imagine. Imagine the sheer panic that hit them when Clive collapsed, having had these thoughts in their heads. Think of it as if it was you... imagine someone you know of vaguely dying from being shot, and thinking "Christ I hope that never happens to me", and then seeing one of your workmates, a friend or a relative being shot... you'd panic so hard, you'd drop everything, nothing else would be able to get into your head. You'd be in no fit state to do anything. (Well you would anyway, but doubly so) It would have been distressing enough without the context, but add the deaths of the young Walsall lad and Puerta, and even the death of Jones, which while being a different thing must still have made them feel fragile, and you've got some seriously distressed people.
Wycombe Fox Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 http://www.sportinglife.com/football/news/...larke_Lead.html Very scary stuff. Well done to the medical staff and hats off to the Forest officials for the abandonment. All the very best to Clive Clarke and his family. Shocked on the Isle of Wight
Tommy G Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 As mentioned before, hats off to the medical staff from city. i think they were the people that may have saved CC's life
spencfox79 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Get well soon hope you make a speedy recovery. Was the right thing to do calling the game off last night.
Raj Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Hope he makes a speedy recovery. after the death of the Spanish player, this must be a very worrying time for his family All the best.
bigneville Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Best Wishes Clive... Wishing you a speedy recovery...
Lichfieldfox. Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I'd like to sent my sincere best wishes for a speedy recovery to Clive Clarke and his family. He is a lucky man having had such prompt medical attention. I'm a GP and know only too well the first hours after a heart attack are crucial. I did ask the a steward if I could be any help to the remaining players and staff however do not think I was taken seriously. I was appauled at the forest chants once the game had been postponed and hope those idiots examine thier conciences today. After all its only a game. I'm sure if it had been one of their friends or relatives the reaction would have been entirely different. The game should however be replayed in my view.
Matt Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Just in on SSN, he's improving well, and undergoing tests. Get well soon Clarky!
DB11 Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 I hope he gets well soon and that he can play football again some day.
Matt Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Clarky's agent who's been at the hospital all day is on SSN NOW! Apparently he is out of danger and very bright.
gurkbasurken Posted 29 August 2007 Posted 29 August 2007 Really scary this, especially with the memory of Puerta so close. Get well soon Clive! /g
