Florida man blames cat for illegal downloads

Dogs have been blamed for eating homework - now a Florida man says his cat downloaded child pornography.

Police are charging Keith Griffin of Jensen Beach, Florida with 10 counts of possession of child pornography after finding more than 1,000 images on his personal computer.

Griffin told police he had been downloading music, and that his cat jumped on the keyboard when he left the room. He said "strange things" appeared on the computer when he returned.

He is being held in Martin county jail on $250,000 bond. No word on any charges against the cat.

Man Keeps severed leg for 20 years

Slighty bizarre is the Black and white video of a 1-legged and 1-armed dancer called Crip heard they have added to the bottom of the story...

Even more bizarre is the fact he is introduced with the words " Take it away, Crip"

Even weirder in the middle of all this is a photo of a leg with the words on it " I am a leg, I am fine"

Strange news story all round..

Heard a crazy report on the news the other day; Some 15 year old got a qualification for being able to get on the bus in Bury. And he didn't know he was being tested and all his mates laughed at him when he got the certificate.

I'll try and find the story but I was like  when I heard it.

EDIT - found:

He wasn't the only one either - 300 people got the cert. from AQA.

Squirrel is surprise star of holiday photo

Melissa Brandts and her husband were surprised to find a squirrel posing with them in a photo taken on holiday.

The couple had set the timer on their camera while posing at a lakeside in a national park in Canada.

Just as they were about to be captured on camera the cheeky squirrel popped up in the foreground and stole the show.

The picture was taken at the side of the stunning Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, Canada.

Mrs Brandts said: "We had our camera set up on some rocks and were getting ready to take the picture when this curious little ground squirrel appeared, became intrigued with the sound of the focusing camera and popped right into our shot."

The picture was submitted to the website of America's National Geographic magazine.

'It was a once in a lifetime moment - we were laughing about this little guy for days!' said Mrs Brandts.

Hitler's Moustache Found.

Hitler's moustache has been found in the city of Kiev. It is in the hands of Ukrainian Igor Abigun who inherited it from his grandfather who was serving with the Third Ukrainian Front of the Red Army when they swept into Berlin in 1945.

"My grandfather may have been from Kiev, but he was no chicken," said Igor. "He and his comrades found Hitler's bunker and the spot where the fascist dictator's body was found. It was supposed to have been burnt but fragments remained, one of which was the moustache and my grandfather, who suffered from mild kleptomania, took it. It has been in our family ever since."

The moustache has long been sought after by neo-Nazi groups who claim it has mystical powers and is a necessary symbol for the formation of the fourth reich. But Igor insists that he will never sell it to fascists and mocks the idea that it has any powers, though he admits to strong urges to invade Poland whenever he handles the relic. To guard against fascist bids when Igor places it on ebay, bidders will be required to sing the full version of the Internationale.

The moustache will be going as part of a job lot along with a pair of Eva Braun's unter-knickers and a signed copy of the Joseph Goebbels Book of Lies.

Charlotte then faced the additional humiliation of being hosed down by firefighters in full view of other festival-goers.

A Facebook group titled Poo Girl has since been set up in her honour.

An Italian supermarket chain has launched a lottery with a difference - the prize is a job.

Lotteries in Italy are known for their gigantic payouts. One recent prize in the state-run Superenalotto was a huge 146.9m euros (£128.3m; $211.8m).

But the winners in this one will instead be offered one of 10 jobs guaranteed for a year at one of the company's stores.

The winning tickets are to be drawn next month.

The unusual lottery is being run by a supermarket chain based at Varese in northern Italy.

For the next month anyone who spends about 28 euros ($40; £24) on groceries will get a lottery ticket for a job.

All 10 places on offer come with contracts that could be renewable.

To be eligible, participants must be over 18 and residents of Italy.

The supermarket says it expects to hand out around 700,000 lottery cards.

Although bosses are not matching the prize of the recent nationwide lottery, in the current economic climate the winners of its prize draw may well feel like they have won the jackpot as well.
