Webbo Posted 24 January 2008 Share Posted 24 January 2008 There is no one album - but here's ten that no one would normally consider putting hear because you've probably not heard them. The Beat - Just Can't Stop It That was the first album I ever bought (about £4.50 from WH Smiths I think)and I played it to death. Shame the follow up album was such shit.

And the Arctic Monkeys fans might like a bit of punk too. ASH17LCFC Posted 24 January 2008 Share Posted 24 January 2008 i'd go for Definetly Maybe from Oasis - an absolute classic... Best debut album ever but Whats the story was better. So for me ... Whats the story (Morning glory)
Thracian Posted 24 January 2008 Share Posted 24 January 2008 Impossible to choose. It depends on your mood. I could put 100's in the ring covering a broad spectrum of music. But Meatloaf's Bat Out of Hell always makes me drive exactly like that and I never tire of listening to it. Same with Dead Ringer. Millie Jackson and Isaac Hayes - If You Had Your Way is a terrific night in with the girlfriend album. Millie Jackson's Loving Arms - raw Soul "Cher Album" (Greatest Hits) Asia Alpha Tina Turner - Simply The Best Bruce Springsteen - Born in the USA In a quieter mood: =========== Enya (Orinoco Flow, Storms In Africa)

STP and RHCP are excellent shouts too. Most of the ones I'd choose have already been said. There's some classic albums been listed, not ones I listen to all the time, but they're all pretty damn tasty! I might be tempted to add the following on top of those that people have mentioned. Steered away from some of the classics here and gone for a few of my own personal faves: Nightwish- Once (Ghost Love Score is possibly one of the greatest songs I've ever had the pleasure of listening to, although I accept it isn't everyone's cup of tea! The rest of the album is also amazing) Live- Throwing Copper (Seminal album of the early/mid nineties). The Distance to Here was a better album IMO but Throwing Copper goes on the list in terms of it's impact. Smashing Pumpkins- Melon Collie and the Infinite Sadness (HOW HAS ANYONE MISSED THIS???!!!!!!!!!) Green Day- Nimrod Best punk album of the nineties without a doubt IMO. They've done a lot of crap since, but this is still a classic for me. Within Temptation- The Silent Force Not at all well known, but some really well put together symph metal here. Incubus-Make Yourself (Better than S.C.I.E.N.C.E IMO) Goo Goo Dolls- Dizzy Up the Girl I don't care if it's catchy and or cheesy. I like it, a lot. Skunk Anansie- Stoosh (Again, can't believe anyone missed this!) Alter Bridge- Blackbird Very Very VERY underrated band. Anyone who likes hard melodic rock should give this a try- most recent of all the albums I've listed here, but should really become a classic. I rate it that much.
