SOCCERROO FOX Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Hahaha. Jammiest three points we'll ever earn. Bout time we had one of those, really. Agreed every other side seems to get those sought of victories bout time we did
WetFlannel Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Were starting to pick up, and stability must be our target for the season now
Master Fox Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 You beauty Baz!!!! WE WON!!!! fcuking hell!!!! Goal of the season too. But I do have some criticism of two certain players. But I’ll save that for a rainy day. One of the players….oh my… Great win. Warnock is a cockfaced twat.
MC Prussian Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Hahaha. Jammiest three points we'll ever earn. Bout time we had one of those, really. Agreed. Before that, it used to be just the other way 'round.
sdb Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Did you hear warncock whining after the match. The officials were crap etc etc... Change the record mate its really boring. well they let scowcroft off for nearly taking mcauley's head off with his forearm
Moreton Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Everyone does realise that as soon as the rest of the league play tommorow then we will slip back down to around 17 or 18th spot so we havent gone that far.
Koke Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 3 wins at home in the entire 2007. 2 wins at home in 2008 and we only in January.
Jonezy Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Late winner... Leicester City.... WTF!!!!!! I'm lovin it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hayles is a legend and so are the back four! Good fight, and how frickin nice to win a scrappy one in the last minute.
Guest shearfox Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Everyone does realise that as soon as the rest of the league play tommorow then we will slip back down to around 17 or 18th spot so we havent gone that far. its another three points away from the relegation zone if we had lost we could have been right in trouble after tomorrow's games.
WetFlannel Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 E I E I E I O UP THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE WE GO WHEN WE GET PROMOTION, THIS IS WHAT WE'LL SING WE ARE LEICESTER, SUPER LEICESER, HAYLES IS OUR KING
Joe. Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Now that's what you call scraping a win. Poor game, not a great performance but who cares when you win 1-0? I'm in love with Barry tonight.
Dames Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 The game looked pretty poor. I don't know what the fook was up with the pitch surely its not that hard to tend to? They should stick a big plastic sheet over it like some teams do so it doesnt get all boggy. Palace obviously had a game plan to shut us out and try and nick a goal and with the pitch and the constant closing down from both sides it doesnt really surprise me that any sort of free flowing football got played. We didn't play poorly nor did we play outstandingly well, we did the job required and got the 3 points. Which would please almost all of us, Bar Thracian. My personal opinion based on what i saw on the TV, go ahead. Sue me.
RowlattsFox Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 A dire scrappy game of football but we won so who cares, Palace were shocking, a team that is 5th should not come to teams like us and be so defensive. Its about time we had a bit of luck go our way and we scored a late goal I love late goals
Bert Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 You think of the matches we have dominated and not won, now we have a bit of luck. We deserved it, and should have had TWO penalties. At least it shut up the commentators, who were banging on about Palace not conceding away for three years, us having 13 draws and 25 managers in the last year.Warnock- Sit down, shut up. We all dream of a team of Barry Hayles!! That's not true. Did you hear warncock whining after the match. The officials were crap etc etc... Change the record mate its really boring. They were though.
MPH Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 oh my god 2 in a row at the Walkers you mean 2 in a row at fortress walkers?
Bert Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Hayles was the player that stood out most for me tonight, for a 36 year old, he has brillaint energy, Hume tried making things happen too, We were awesome at the back, two tricky customers dealt with really well. SHIT PITCH.
lavrentis Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 The pitch is awful, just like it was against Coventry. I mean I understand In winter the grass doesn't grow much but it could have been better than that.
reynard Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Just about deserved to win a really awful match. The main question for me is how the hell has a side as limited as Palace managed to go 15 games unbeaten? We have improved a lot of late but they were 1 dimensional and played some of the most boring route 1 football I have seen from a visiting side this season. The quality of the winning goal was matched by the overall quality of the game. However, a win is great news and the first time we have managed 2 home league winsin a row since August 2006??? This is just the sort of match we would have lost a few weeks ago. Just shows how a good run of results can propel a side up this division.
MPH Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 upto 15th... I knew that miserly defence under Megson would do us some good. Plymouth down to 11th we are upto 15th 5 points behind them... I am going to haunt every plymouth forum i can find if we finish above them this season......
Mr Happy Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 We appear to be turning the bowl into a fortress, Alnwick should be signed permantly if he continues his great form (3games, 3 clean sheets), defense had a blinder again today and we generally seem to be heading in the right direction. Good stuff
maddog Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 Did i hear somebody say we are gonna get in the play offs now? Yes me Only 10 points behind what a crucial victory! It just shows the strength of character in our squad now, we never win 1-0 and nick the points. Alnwick is yet to concede. On the negative side Hume was fooking awful, Zsolt and Bori weren't as good as Cov game. On the up side super Barry Hayles!!!!!

Humes allowed a bad game once in a while, and to be fair, the Hungarians standards have been set very very high
syston_fox Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 On the negative side Hume was fooking awful, Zsolt and Bori weren't as good as Cov game. Though Zsolt was poor tonight but Bori looked lively when he came on.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 28 January 2008 Posted 28 January 2008 With two (neutral) guests in tow and the Sky cameras present, it was always going to be a turd of a game, but 3 points in the bag, a clean sheet and managing to make the form team in the division look very ordinary mean I'm a happy boy tonight
