Ric Flair Posted 24 April 2008 Posted 24 April 2008 Havn't the seen the lad play but have heard and read the reports about his time at Bournemouth. Lets hope we have an exciting player on our hands and is given his chance. I've been impressed with Gradel since he first came here. I remembered a spell where he scored something like 8 goals in 7 reserve games about 2 seasons ago and I wondered how close he was to first team football then. Obviously it's not been as instant as I perhaps thought and given Gradel's talent and achievements at Bournemouth would suggest he perhaps should have already been given a chance in the first team here. He's had a lot to deal with this season and he's rose above it all with a consistent level of performances that have surpassed most players in League One, I imagine he'd be in the running for Young Player of The Year in League One, possibly Player of The Year. I thought he said that he would be taking a look at him in pre-season. I think he said something about how pleased he was with Gradel's development at Bournemouth and that Penrice has watched a number of his games and been impressed and that he can't wait to work with him in pre-season.
renards Posted 24 April 2008 Posted 24 April 2008 Hope all works out well for him and his family, sounds a complecated stuation. On a shelfish note, I hope we get to see him in the first team. Fantastic seasons reveiw, really chuffed for him. Possibly the best performing (albiet another level) leicester player this season. Player of the season with Fulop as runner up!, kick in the gonads for our shower. Few weeks back at Belvoir Drive, Hollow will soon knock it out of him.
egg_fried_rice Posted 24 April 2008 Posted 24 April 2008 On a shelfish note, I hope we get to see him in the first team. yeah lets just hope he doesnt clam up when he gets his opportunity...
andyh1884 Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Hayes is back, crocked Leicester winger Jonathan Hayes has ended his loan spell at Northampton after being ruled out for the rest of the season. The 20-year-old has made 11 appearances for the Cobblers since arriving in January, but he suffered ankle ligament damage playing for the reserves against Colchester on Tuesday. "It is a shame that Jonathan's injury has cut short his loan spell," said Cobblers boss Stuart Gray. "I would like to thank Jonathan for his effort and commitment and thank Leicester City for allowing us to borrow Jonathan. We wish him well for the future."

He gets injured far too often for my liking, especially for young 'un.
Koke Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 He gets injured far too often for my liking, especially for young 'un. Him and James Wesolowski are very fragile creatures. Hayes doesn't have a future here. He'll be off somewhere else in the summer.
Daggers Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 He gets injured far too often for my liking, especially for young 'un. It's because his Ronaldoesque performance cause defenders to hammer him in an effort to stop him. Ref's should protect him. They are killing our wonderful game.
FleckneyFox Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Alan Shush! sent off in 60th minute tonight against Yeovil
The Stig Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Alan Shush! sent off in 60th minute tonight against Yeovil Please god don't make that start anymore Alan Sheean related discussion
Fox You Forest Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Please god don't make that start anymore Alan Sheean related discussion 60 minutes is clearly long enough for Sh££han to win Leeds the game.
Fox You Forest Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Straight red, no playoffs for Thracian's Alan then. Nope
Thracian Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Sixth successive clean sheet nevertheless and another win. Shush! seemed to be greatly involved in the game but he does do some daft things and this seems like another. Imagine missing the play-off matches at this stage of his career. Prat.
Jimmy Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Straight red, no playoffs for our Alan then. doesn't it depend on why he was sent off?
Thracian Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 doesn't it depend on why he was sent off? Two footed challenge.
Jimmy Posted 25 April 2008 Posted 25 April 2008 Two footed challenge. ah in the current climate he'll be lucky to escape it getting extended

Father Ted Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Two footed challenge. Not the sort of thing we want to be seeing in football nowadays , tut tut tut, Shush! has been a very naughty boy
Kilworthfox Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Shit challenge deserved Red. Don't do that in a blue shirt lad I am guessing it was the shirt that made him do it
Mark Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Max is back, he played as Bournemouth won AGAIN today against Crewe, if they win again on the last day they'll surely survive, possibly the best ever escape from the drop?
Tilley Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Max is back, he played as Bournemouth won AGAIN today against Crewe, if they win again on the last day they'll surely survive, possibly the best ever escape from the drop? If only we had their fighting spirit.
Alexikokopops Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 Max is back, he played as Bournemouth won AGAIN today against Crewe, if they win again on the last day they'll surely survive, possibly the best ever escape from the drop? They;ve got Carlisle, who've lost three on the bounce. Cheltenham have Doncaster who are flying high. Crewe have Oldham, sitting in 9th. Up the Cherries.
Fez of Mahrez Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 They;ve got Carlisle, who've lost three on the bounce.Cheltenham have Doncaster who are flying high. Crewe have Oldham, sitting in 9th. Up the Cherries. We also need Doncaster to win so that Forest don't go up automatically. And yes Ultra, I'm well aware we seem to be HEADED for their league.
lildave3 Posted 26 April 2008 Posted 26 April 2008 What an escape that would be Stunning. All down to Maxy of course
