Koke Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Mattock didn't look injured at Hinckley last night and no-one who watched the game against Wolves would dream of putting Laczko in the first team. Kishishev might be a candidate. He was taken off after the first half. He'd had a decent game but was still eclipsed by Wesolowski who was a whirlwind for 90 minutes. There's also Beswick. Different class to Laczko on the night in my view and Kingy too, with yet another goal, did his chances no harm. That's if we're ever going to see young players in the team again! Holloway said he was injured.
GianEmmo Zola Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Ollie drops Kish Hint http://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1241625,00.html and rightly so i think he played well last night looked alot trimmer
Trav Le Bleu Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Hows this for a fairly radical line up (following the news that Kish played a full and apparently good 45 for the reserves) Alnwick MacAuley---N'Gotty---KisnorboStearman--------------------------------------ClaphamClemence---Kishishev---OakleyHoward---Campbell I know, no Hume, but I can't see him working in this line up And I don't think this WILL be the line up - I'm just airing it
Thracian Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Ollie drops Kish Hinthttp://www.lcfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Lates...1241625,00.html and rightly so i think he played well last night looked alot trimmer Another old timer at a time we need pace and/or goals. He played alright last night for his one half. A few good corners, plenty of involvement. But Wesolowski gave a 90 minute midfield masterclass and Andy King, even on right midfield, not only scored again but was able to get in lots more shots than the total we've had from either winger recently and was just as great a threat when he went inside. I quite like Kishishev but he's so like lots of other players, a supplementary influence rather than someone who creates things to win you games, certainly when I've seen him in his cameos for the first team. He also looks vulnerable to turning into trouble and being caught in possession. It happened last night and a couple of times the game before. Bench maybe but we need to win against Norwich, not draw.

breadandcheese Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Personally, I'd try the following team. We've been unable to address the wing problem, so I'd go to a 3-5-2 (although not play as defensively as Megson) Alnwick Stearman---MacAuley---KisnorboChambers--------------------------------------ClaphamClemence---King---OakleyHoward---Fryatt

Thracian Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Id second that. Why would you prefer Mattock to Beswick as a left winger?

Jimmy Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Why would you prefer Mattock to Beswick as a left winger? you whined at us for wanting Kaebi without seeing him now your whining that we DON'T want Beswick without seeing him, FFS man stick to your own principles
Joe. Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Right now, I wouldn't care seeing Beswick in the team. There's no way he can do worse than what we have at the moment, so why not?
Flynny Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Right now, I wouldn't care seeing Beswick in the team. There's no way he can do worse than what we have at the moment, so why not? Mattock's looked good when he's played left-wing and is a better option there than he is at left-back. I think thats beyond doubt even if people think Beswick'll be better.

I think thats beyond doubt even if people think Beswick'll be better. Wouldn't argue with that. Mattock has less pressure on him at left wing and is prone to making an error or two at left back. I don't think he's ready for Championship football at left back yet. Wouldn't surprise me to see him start left wing Saturday, and being realistic I hope he does.
bob falange Posted 15 February 2008 Posted 15 February 2008 Alnwick Stearman McAuley Kisnorbo Clapham Bori Oakley Wesolowski Laczko Howard Hume Subs: N'Gotty, A King, DJ Campbell, Fryatt (for last 30 mins, if needed), Hayles (for last 20 mins, if needed) Bori and Laczko to be instructed to do no defensive work whatsoever, unless needed temporarily for a "wall". Their job is to be in ready position to accept a pass (to feet) from defenders and to get or stay wide. And don't crowd the defence !!! Our defenders know exactly what they're doing and are the best in the championship. Let them do their job and always give them attacking options by keeping our attackers in position, ready to receive a clearance.
