Alnwick Stearman McAuley Kisnorbo ClaphamGradel Oakley Wesolowski BeswickHume HowardSubs; Fryatt, Campbell, King, Bori, N'Gotty I think the steady reliability and composure of Clapham would provide the springboard to Beswick. Obviously Gradel would have to be recalled.
Father Ted Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Same team as Watford because Holloway said that we apparently played well So.. teblin Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 I might be wrong here but i'm sure clem has played wide left in his career, and he isn't working alongside oakley. So how about. alnwick stearman McAuley Kisnorbo ClaphamHume Weso Oakley Clemance Howard DJ
Lester LXXIV Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 -----------------------------ALNWICK------------------------------ STEARMAN-------MCAULEY---------KISNORBO--------MATTOCK --------WESOLOWSKI------OAKLEY--------CLEMENCE----------- --------HUME---------------HOWARD------------CAMPBELL-------- My thinking behind this is, Stearman and Mattock can provide cover for the oppostions wing play whilst the 3 in midfield stifle and provide to Humey & DJ. If we get plenty of balls up to the corners for Humey & DJ to chase then hopefully deliver to Howard in the middle or skin their markers and make diagonal runs into the box! ...It sounds so easy from behind my desk in my comfy chair in my warm office on the south coast!

Chimp Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 Alnwick Stearman - McCauley - Kisnorbo - MattockBori - Hume - Oakley - LazskoHoward - Campbell Hume with a license to terrorise the midfield and defence, get forward as much as possible and support the front two, Oakley with instructions to be a bit more reserved and act more as a holding midfielder.
RowlattsFox Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 I don't think we will see Chambers at left back, I think he was only there on tuesday because he has pace, and Watford have pace on the wings in Ainsworth and McAnuff. Mattock must be injured because he didnt play for the reserves last night either. For some reason i've got a feeling we may see Kishishev start alongside Oakley. .......................Alnwick Stearman..McAuley..Kisnorbo..Clapham ......Bori..Kishishev..Oakley..Lazcko .................Hume..Howard Subs: N'Gotty, chambers, Clemence, Hayles, Campbell Although the hungarians aren't ready yet, i still think they could make something happen. Hume and Howard has been partnership upfront so far so we should give them another go, Hume can pick the ball up inbetween the midfield and attack and put through balls through to Howard op spread it out wide.

Mattock didn't look injured at Hinckley last night and no-one who watched the game against Wolves would dream of putting Laczko in the first team. Kishishev might be a candidate. He was taken off after the first half. He'd had a decent game but was still eclipsed by Wesolowski who was a whirlwind for 90 minutes. There's also Beswick. Different class to Laczko on the night in my view and Kingy too, with yet another goal, did his chances no harm. That's if we're ever going to see young players in the team again!

Fez of Mahrez Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 This statement displeases me. Don't worry, I'm sure Doris the Donkey will still be your special Valentine.
The People's Hero Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 McAuley can fu ck off to Ipswich. We should tie him up, put him in a sack, dump him outside portman road with an invoice for £1million. Also Norwich rhymes with Porridge! Stupid Norwich!
Koke Posted 14 February 2008 Posted 14 February 2008 McAuley can fu ck off to Ipswich. We should tie him up, put him in a sack, dump him outside portman road with an invoice for £1million. Also Norwich rhymes with Porridge! Stupid Norwich! It was a mistake not to sell him to Ipswich. Ryan Shawcross went to Stoke for £1 million and he is better than McAuley in every department. Even Marcel Seip from Plymouth is another option. Cheaper and arguably better.
