yes i would continue to support leicester. I was born in leicester and once you pick your club your with them for life! i will always continue to support leicester.

IMO it is wrong to single out Hume he is one player who would give his all for Leicester. He just has bursts of speed not wing play speed. His game is wasted on the wing. Since the new signings there has been no place for Fryatt, Weso, King and Shush! (now gone). We have no one except Stears, Kisnorbo and Hume who give a jot for the team. The playing staff is not so bad that we can't revert to a younger line up.

Hume's so bad he's got more than twice the goals of any other player despite regularly playing out of position.

It was most the same last season when only Kisnorbo's 8 goals in total was more than half Hume's 13.

He's out of position for a start, I'd sooner him play up front instead of Campbell who doesn't impress me in the least. Hume has been our most successful scorer yet we bought Campbell when there were other priorities. As for wingers which Ollie states he is a keen advocate for didn't he aquire two of them? The one game they both played we won yet he hasn't tried it again. If neither of them are worth a regular full start then so much for Ollie's caperbilities in choosing them in the first place.

Yep, I honestly do think he thinks he's irreplaceable and his place in the team is cemented just because he's a fans favourite, Holloway needs to give him a reality check by dropping him.

I'll agree with the fact's he out of position i'll give people that, however when he first was put in the position I thought he was great, he played brilliant, I actually thought he was better in this position than he was upfront, but the last month (maybe more) he's been awful, similar to the Stearman scenario that we have seen Stearman's potential but yet he doesn't use it, only when he wants to, well we have seen what Hume can do in this position and it's very good but recently he has been shocking, Mr Hume - Explain?!

So whats the excuse when he first started playing in this position? As I have already said I thought he played really well when he was first put in this position, perhaps better than when he plays upfront then the last month or so he's been awful.

I know we have all been through this before that a normal person's job isn't the same as a footballer, and everyone use the "If I did a poor job i'd be sacked, they get away with it" well thats true but there more to it than that isn't there?!

However last week I was given a shit job at work...I'm a joiner, I am not employed to stick stuff on panels and wrap them, I had nearly 200 of them, It took me a while and I didn't enjoy it, after 100 odd I didn't suddenly start doing them shite but I had a work with the boss and said look i'm not employed to do this, I then got someone to help me/put onto another job, not the same i'll give you that but it's the view some of our players should have, just because their footballers they think their all high and mighty, they need a BIG reality check, Not just Hume, most of them.

Campbell is in the wrong team - if we had players that could service and support him we'd be entertained and be watching back to back victories.

Not only that, but this player has zero confidence in front of goal - his pre-match routine failed to net a single strike and when gifted with one of the best opportunities during the game he elected to pass back 10 feet to Howard, outside the box, rather than take a pop himself.

We have to drop him.

There all in the fooking wrong team, I think they'd be more suited at Hinckley United, and even then they'd probably still be in the relegation battle that Hinckley currently are.

You don't half talk some nonsense. Iain Hume has been crap out on the right wing for 90% of the time he's played there for us. He did well in the game that never happened, which was his first game out wide and other than the odd performance when the whole team plays well, he's been utter guff on the wing this season. In fact he was put out wide by Allen in his last game in charge and then Megson came in who played wing-backs so Hume played in central midfield or up front and not out wide. He's only started playing out wide again when Holloway came in and I don't recall him actually being any good out there, but he did chip in a few goals, but they may have come from either set pieces or when he played through the middle, so again not anything to do with his movement and delicousy on the wing.

The reasons for that are mainly because he's a very greedy footballer, not a natural winger and because our team doesn't look to give the ball to players outwide and therefore players playing on the wing will be absent for the majority of games. Or they come looking for the ball in the middle of the park and leave us exposed, Hume has done this on lots of occasions.

When he plays upfront he is a lot more effective, but when he plays out wide we're lucky if we see him turn up and make an impact one in every half a dozen or so matches.

His performance alongside Howard against Coventry last month was the level of football he's capable of. In his rightful position, but since that game, he's been shunted back out on the wing, even though Holloway admitted that Hume was exceptional against Cov that game alongside Howard.

Now it's simple, if Holloway doesn't rate Hume up front, then don't play him. If he does rate him then play him up front, not try and accomadate him by playing him in a position that is detrimental to the rest of the team.

I just don't think hume is as good as he or alot of people believe he is.

He's not crap just not that good either, like alot of other players we have at the club.

Hume up front is more than capable of being one of the best players in the division. Yes its a bold statement but if he was playing for a team like West Brom or Watford he'd be quality.

People on here have some sort of grudge because he's a fans favorite hence they look to put him down at every oppurtunity. I don't know why, If it wasn't for this guy we'd probably be out of business or pulling a forest.

He's wasted out wide, He likes to be involved (With our style of play wingers rarely get involved) and when he isn't involved he gets frustrated and you can see it affects his game a little. He was never a winger to start with. So what if he gets mardy? Would you prefer someone who would just keel over and spectate for the rest of the game?

Now its time to do the right thing Ollie and stick him back up front.

Utter bollocks.

He's spent over 90% of this season out wide and he still got 8 or 9 goals to his account. Last season he got 14 and we were woeful to say the least. It's not his fault that he's been asked to play right wing which he sucks at. Going by your logic, Howard should be performing even if he's asked to play left wing. And lets put Kisnorbo at right back shall we and expect the same level of performance as he puts in at centre back.

Either he plays up front or he shouldn't play at all.

And do not compare a normal day job to football. It is not the same.

Where did Hume play (mainly) for Tranmere?

All over the shop, in his final season for them when he scored about 16 goals he was used as a striker and I think that was 'the season' when he finally fulfilled his early promise with them. His career at Leicester is on the verge is seriously stagnating if he continues to be played out wide IMO.

He's a striker, a very decent one at this level. He can 'do a job' in midfield, but considering we aren't blssed with quality strikers, it's ridiculous for us to not play him up front given he's the only player who has scored on a fairly regular basis for us in the past 3 seasons.
