maddog Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Should we sign the Hungarian wingers? I think we should sign both. Although i would be swayed towards Bori if i had too choose one. Bori has been superb for me and chucked out the team by Holloway, Why? I have no fooking idea. Zsolt has been a bit of a let down in a lot of his games BUT we have seen what he can do in that Coventry game. Ollie said they are both absolute bargains after that Cov game and we could sign them permenantly if we wanted. Sign them Ollie! I would give them both deals until January 2010, at the end of the season, giving them both 1 season and a bit. If we can afford £1.5m each on Campbell and Howard, we can afford these. If we don't we will just end up wasting millions more next season on shit players like Clemence. What do you think, to make it clear what i think: SIGN THEM BOTH
Messi Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Sign both of them, they need abit of confidence and abit more time to settle in, learn the language etc. But yeah if i was mandaric i would tell the manager(whoever it will be in the summer) to get the pair
mancunianfox Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 SIGN THEM BOTH What...for a laugh? We have enough mediocre players who can't get into the side without adding a couple more.
lildave3 Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 It's a difficult one. Personally i'd try and get them on loan for another year It's hard to decide without actually seeing them in training.
Koke Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 What...for a laugh? We have enough mediocre players who can't get into the side without adding a couple more. Unfair. Laczko can play. He's got a fairly good technique, a good jump on him and he often gets into goal scoring positions a lot, which is a promising sign. Obviously he hasn't set the place alight but to tarnish him as mediocre is a tad bit harsh me thinks. Personally, I've seen enough of him to say that he has got what it takes to succeed in this division - hard work, decent aerial abilities and gets himself into the penalty box. I'm sure Holloway has seen enough of this lad to work on. Bori has done alright as well. He's disciplined and keeps his shape and ultimately if they are given time and developed the right way, both could be great assets for us.
Jack Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 They played well for one game (Cov), not really seen much of them since. Holloway doesn't seem to rate them, seeing as he hasn't played them so I suspect that he wont bother with signing them.
Thracian Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 I don't think anyone has really seen enough of either but one swallow doesn't make a summer and I'm a long way off being convinced by either.
James. Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 If we're going to successfully invade Wales then we're going to need both of them. These boys will add some Eastern European steel to our growing ranks.
Raj Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 I don't think anyone has really seen enough of either but one swallow doesn't make a summer and I'm a long way off being convinced by either. talking about summer, its officially British Summer Time on Sunday. It means the clocks go forward 1 hour. I think i'll start a new post for this. Goto general Chat for this enthralling new post!!!!
Daggers Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 We have to sign them - otherwise what will next season's price rise be blamed on?
Fatbloke Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Re the Hungarians, Glad I have`nt got to make the decision !
Fatbloke Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 We have to sign them - otherwise what will next season's price rise be blamed on? Dunno but it`s high time we put up season tickets, we`re far far too bluddy cheap !
C.J Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Bori for me, not sure about zsolt. If we reject them and they end up playing for AC milian in 5 or so years time we'll be kicking ourselvs.
Daggers Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Dunno but it`s high time we put up season tickets, we`re far far too bluddy cheap ! I'd gladly sell my wife and children to pay for mine. (If that money hadn't already been allocated)
Jonezy Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Seriously, why isnt Bori playing...?? The guy can manage to pass the ball to a team mate, and doesn't look too troubled doing it... I like Bori.... Sign them both, if they are really cheap. Laczko to keep Bori company, and Bori for next season's right wing rotation spot with Max-Alain.... If we by some divine miracle manage to stay clear of league one, then add Fulop to the Hungarian mix, and I would be a happy chap.....
Simi Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 As I've already said in other threads I'd definitely like to have a look at both of them for longer, especially Bori. I think they've both got the right attitude, one that Holloway has proved he can can work with and develop in the past with the likes of Halmosi. For me, it's a shame they've both been shelved, because when they've played, usually they both added a bit of much needed creativity, something we've certainly lacked in recent times.
sdb Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 i'm amazed anyone has said keep them!! they can't get near the team... a team which is complete bollocks!! send em back! deary me!!
Daggers Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 i'm amazed anyone has said keep them!! they can't get near the team... a team which is complete bollocks!! send em back! deary me!! Yea - maybe they're as good as Kingy, Elvis and all the others who are gods of the green field?
Bert Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 It's a big clue that when signing other wingers, that we probably won't be signing them at the end of the season.
Mort Posted 28 March 2008 Posted 28 March 2008 Not really seen enougth of them... Zsolt I've seen in the Cov and Norwich games and both times he looked handy, same probably goes for Bori and the Cov game, but that not sufficent to decide one way or the other as to weather we should sign either of them. I'd like to take them on loan for another season, although if 'push comes to shove' I'd be tempted to sign them, neither's likley to break the bank and the potential would seem (from the little we've seen of them) to be there... its a question as to weather it can be realised.
