The People's Hero Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 That sort of cash should feed his coke habbit He has a coke hobbit for a pet? I want one. Imagine that, a little, hairy, drug loving animal living about the place. It'd be like having Ian Marshall as your lodger. He might also be able to afford a place in sunny braunstone aswell!!! Not outright, but maybe a timeshare.

Jimmy Posted 1 April 2008 Posted 1 April 2008 We were rumoured to have offered him nearly £20,000 a week to join us in the summer, so £15,000 will hardly be baulked at by Mandaric and Holloway. Not sure i'd pay that myself, he's worth perhaps £500,000 a year if he plays a season at a level he has been doing for us. don't forget we still need to agree a fee with Shef Utd 1st

Maybe it's my Côtes du Rhône addled memory, but I distinctly recollect him blowing us out because we didn't offer as much as they did
Ric Flair Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 don't forget we still need to agree a fee with Shef Utd 1st Doubt he'll cost us anything, Sheff Utd want him off their wage bill. They have some high earners from their stint in the premiership and Blackwell has to cut the wage bill from what i've read. Maybe it's my Côtes du Rhône addled memory, but I distinctly recollect him blowing us out because we didn't offer as much as they did You might be right, i'm only going from some very dubious tabloids who on more than one occasion reported that Mandaric was ready to offer Lee Hendrie £1 million a year to join.

Good signature - goes well with his 100+ appearances at so young an age.
davieG Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 I wouldn't take too much notice of this Ollie's the best manager crap, as the saying goes 'he would say that wouldn't he'. Same goes for all other players extolling their management. He's obviously desperate to get out of Sheffield, where he's not had a look in, move to us where he's viewed as 'first choice' and adored by the fans who have been devoid of quality for some time. He certainly knows how to play to the fans and of course he's nearer to his mum . That said IF we can guarantee his enthusiasm and commitment is lasting then he's just the sort of player to not only get us promoted but can do a job in the Premier League whilst we adjust.
Father Ted Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 606 is a pile of shit, and so are those wages figures. Douglas is/was on around 8k/10k a week if I'm correct. And Bruno on 15k - Fcuk off.
Koke Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 I wouldn't sign him. He'll take his 15k a week and sit on his fat Brummie arse doing sweet FA. I can just foresee it. A shame though that a player of his calibre can't be arsed to motivate himself - He'd rip this division into pieces if he really wanted to.

That's a tad presumptious isn't it, I think it would be well worth the risk. As Ric said it's highly unlikely Sheff Utd will slap a price tag on him, and after all it's Mandaric's cash, unless he bumps up the ticket prices then it's not going to affect us.
Daggers Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 Douglas is/was on around 8k/10k a weekAnd Bruno on 15k - Fcuk off. Did I miss something - when did this week get declared National Make Figures Up Off The Top Of Your Head Week? Well, not to be beaten - Kaebi was on £25,000 per week and it cost the club £11,000,000 to pay him off. I'm livid.

Raj Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 No player is on 5-6000 a week. I wouldnt pay 15,000 a week for Hendrie, although he has been very good. I'd pay 15,000 a week for that lad who played yday...you know the one....he was on Telly yday...you know....for Man U....think his names Ronald something???

Raj Posted 2 April 2008 Posted 2 April 2008 McDonald? Thats it! Ronald McDonald! He's scottish...but has Portuguese parents(ALLEGEDLY!)i think!
The Reverend Posted 3 April 2008 Posted 3 April 2008 I know for certain de Vries was on about 30k a month when he was here (7,500 a week), so as Douglas was signed around a simlar time, from a much high profile club, as pretty much Scotlands then no.1, i'd be surprised if he was on less than de Vries.

I'm just sceptical about the lad, and I think that's justified. Who's to say that if we sign him and give him a 3 year contract he won't go back to his lazy I-can't-be-arsed mode? I'd rather that we took him on-loan for a season, and if he ****s about and doesn't get his finger out then we can always send him back to Sheffield United at the end of his loan spell.

Clemence is on £15k a week and N'Gotty is on £20k a week. Depressingly that is 100% FACT my friend.
