Favourite Place to Eat?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone got any favourite places to eat in Leicester/shire? I know everyone on this forum isn't based in Leicester!

Mine has to be ''Boboli Restaurant'' in Kibworth. Fantastic Italian with a decent menu and not too expensive

It is not in Leicester, but what the hell.

The best restaurant in Kettering is Ristorante Azzurri, but I would say that because it is my girlfriends dad's place.

But in all honesty it is nice and cheap as well.

Mine's a Mexican in Colombia shortly followed by a roast chicken shack in Caracas.

And if that doesn't prove it, nothing will... You've gotta go a long, long way to beat the cheese and onion cobs at the Swan.

Hmmm.

Forgot that one. I do enjoy a good cheese and onion cob.

lol We stayed just across the road, this year, but I'm afraid we found an Italian in Cocoa Beach that was, in their terms, "awesome".

The Double Dragon is the Chinese, it is a bloody good restaurant. The Indian you mention isn't Charmalee, is it? I know that there is a takeaway next door as well. Dipali is much, much better.

To this day the best fish dish I've ever had was cooked by "Mama" in a secluded beach hut on Ko Pha Ngan, Thailand. The fish was caught that day and was cooked in the most amazing chilli sauce. She also did the best spring rolls I've ever tasted. Unbelievable. Not to mention the scenery as we ate it.

I must say some of the responses in here have amused me. Each to their own I guess but some of you should really expand your horizons a bit and try something other than burgers and pizza... :D

In London:

Levant - amazing Lebanese restaurant complete with belly dancers and shisha.

Gaucho - best steak I've ever eaten.

Veeraswamy - brilliant contemporary Indian.

Les Trois Garçons - crazy decor and very good French food.

So many more. If you get a chance to check out any of those go for it.
