dandannieldanok Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 if we do sign dickov then we need a decent player upfront with him, whats your views on peter thompson from linfield hed score goals Too late
Bert Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 shame, hes got a proven track record In the league of Ireland....
sdb Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 I'm puzzled as to the association/link same. Dublin was fat, lazy and crap. Dickov is none of those.
Corky Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 The thing is, Dickov is probably a lot different than four/five years ago. He's never been a prolific scorer in his career, 2002/2003 was his peak year. Also, we don't have Brian Deane playing off him and Muzzy Izzet supplying the service. It is a big risk going for him.
Father Ted Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 same. Dublin was fat, lazy and crap. Dickov is none of those. Could be that Dickov returned aswell OR that Dion was old aswell yet still was a very useful player
dandannieldanok Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Could be that Dickov returned aswell Dublin didn't return on a football basis like Dickov would be. Dion may have been born in Leicester but was never at LCFC, or had any affiliation with the club, before we signed him in 2004.

Growing up on Burnmoor Street it must have been hard to ignore us and follow another team.
Matt Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Didn't he support us as a boy? Growing up on Burnmoor Street it must have been hard to ignore us and follow another team. I'm not saying this proves he did or didn't support us as a kid, and a job's a job, money's money but I know for a fact as a Leicester City fan it'd have to be a huge offer and deal for me to even consider playing for Cov. Or Villa.
Milky Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Dublin grew up as a West Brom fan. Remember reading it in a match day programme.
Corky Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Dublin grew up as a West Brom fan. Remember reading it in a match day programme. Oh right. I'm sure the distance and time taken travelling to Filbert St probably put him off supporting Leicester City
whitlock Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Just out of interest, if Dickov is in talks with us, who is he talking to? everyone is abroad will he be over there aswell talking? Or would it be phone chats ?

whitlock Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 I dont reallly know how these "talks" happen and stuff but just sorter guessed that the talks would happen between player and manager n
Unabomber Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Just out of interest, if Dickov is in talks with us, who is he talking to?everyone is abroad will he be over there aswell talking? Or would it be phone chats ? Pretty obvious mate! Who sorts the majority of our transfers out?
dog_4 Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 i'm happy with having campbell, fryatt, howard and chambers. Also pearson has said in the mercury that he's happy with the front line.
Jay Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Dublin grew up as a West Brom fan. Remember reading it in a match day programme. Correct it was we West brom had Cyrille Regis, Laurie Cunningham and Brendon Batson and they were the first English team to have 3 black players at the same time
DB11 Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 We shud defo sign a LEDGE! Yeh. And then push Howard off it
sdb Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Could be that Dickov returned aswell OR that Dion was old aswell yet still was a very useful player like dandaniel... said, Dublin never played for us before like Dickov has. Also, calling Dublin useful is quite crazy. I've never seen anyone less passionate about Leicester City. He did a good impression of a statue but i wouldn't call that useful!
Bryn Posted 15 July 2008 Posted 15 July 2008 Yeh. And then push Howard off it You been getting funny lessons or something?
