Guest Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 He has been all day. But has he been spotted at Morrison's is the big question we all want to know the answer to?
Bert Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 But has he been spotted at Morrison's is the big question we all want to know the answer to? Why would he be at Michael's house? Surely if he was gonna stay with anyone, it'd be Kish.
Unabomber Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Does he think League 1 is the top league? Will hopefully turn out to be a really great signing, as Kisbo will more than likely be off in Jan
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 I'm so getting this new "black" away kit with Tunchev on the back. If the kit is black and when this guy signs of course.
Nod.E Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Why would he be at Michael's house?Surely if he was gonna stay with anyone, it'd be Kish. I was thinking that
Mr Happy Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Are we signing Tunchev or is it just talks hes here for? I'm confused as I've been told we'd already signed him
MikeyT Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Why would he be at Michael's house?Surely if he was gonna stay with anyone, it'd be Kish. Haha, very good!
SamL Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Are we signing Tunchev or is it just talks hes here for? I'm confused as I've been told we'd already signed him We haven't signed him yet, we're in the process of signing him. Apparently, the bloke is in Leicester to finalize personal terms and have a medical. Once this has completed the signing will be confirmed.
surrifox Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Oh just a bit of useless info but his name is spelled wrong on the thread title. The few times ive seen him mentioned on other sites its spelled like this: Aleksander! ok its pedantic but here goes... Bulgarian is a Cyrillic language and uses the alphabet consisting of characters (based upon Greek) but now more akin to Russian . Any anglicisation of a Bulgarian name will therefore be phonetic and an attempt to replicate the sound of the original Bulgarian - there can be no correct or incorrect spelling

You should have written the Cyrillic version and seen what he said to that!
Alexikokopops Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 A certain poster on the forum overheard the receptionist and the security guard talking about how MM had gone off to meet Tunchev. The Merc says "Bulgarian international Aleksander Tunchev was flying into England today for signing talks with Leicester City."...and they're never wrong. Damn! I was about to impress people with my insider knowledge but it turns out we have the same source!
Spiritwalker Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Just seen on sky sports news Lucketti is going to Huddersfield does this mean Tunchev is a done deal?
Babylon Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 by Bill Anderson Flight delays yesterday prevented Bulgarian international Aleksander Tunchev from opening talks with Leicester City. But the club were hopeful the £800,000 deal for the CSKA Sofia defender can be completed today. Until everything is signed and sealed, the club are making no comment, but there is excitement at the prospect of the 26-year-old seasoned centre-back being added to the squad as new manager Nigel Pearson's fourth signing, with still the possibility of more to come. Tunchev is expected here for medical formalities and personal terms to be completed before training with his new team-mates next week.

Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Any Gayer, you could have him! Say what?
MikeyT Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 There's only one Aleks Tunchev, One Aleks Tuuuuuuuunchev, Theres only one Aleks Tunchev!
Brainy Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Aleksander Tunchev is still determined to join Leicester City, even though reports of him jetting in from his homeland are wide of the mark.Due to the closure of Sofia Airport, after warehouse blasts nearby, sources in Bulgaria claim the CSKA Moscow captain has faced a torturous trip to put pen-to-paper on his Foxes contract with a major part of the journey being undertaken by car. The centre back will cost €1 million (just under £800,000) and will mark a major investment for a League One club by City supremo Milan Mandaric as Leicester bid to gain promotion under new boss Nigel Pearson. Worryingly for City, the 26-year-old Bulgaria international has also been targeted by PAOK Thessaloniki and this was one of the destinations on his new itinerary but Leicester are tipped to win the chase for his services. stevec Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 Dont know if anyone has seen this - but he has had to "drive" to Leicester: Due to the closure of Sofia Airport, after warehouse blasts nearby, sources in Bulgaria claim the CSKA Moscow captain has faced a torturous trip to put pen-to-paper on his Foxes contract with a major part of the journey being undertaken by car. http://www.setantasports.com/en/Sport/News...britain-locale/ Edit - obviously posted at same time as above entry

jonw88 Posted 4 July 2008 Posted 4 July 2008 How tall is he? and whos gonna play centre half for the first half of the season? I reckon Tunchev and Worley. I reckon Tunchev and the new guy Morrison if Tunchev turns up, then Kisser will probably leave at Xmas once he's healed. Oh and Tunchev is definitely on his way, I saw him buying some smarties at a Morrisons in Dover.
