Joe. Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Leicester are chasing 21-year-old Lincoln striker Dany N'Guessan. (Various) I always thought he was a winger?
Alexikokopops Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 That's the dude!! Really? Ive only seen him live twice but he was one of the better players both times (although to be fair he was sent off after 30 mins in one of those games) I sent my mate a message saying "How much do you hate Scott Kerr?" His response was "As a footballer, more than anyone has ever hated anyone. A midfielder who can't pass or tackle and he is club captain - unbelievable".

davieG Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 http://www.lincoln.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=139937 Dany N`Guessan The Kaka of League 2. The Gasman is aflame, a Gallic snake at a spiritual peak, at one with the ball. Do they not say that French is the language of love? Then surely the scintillating skills of the Eiffel Power swerving past the foe, has to be the language of the people`s game. All action, few words and a thunderbolt from heaven to finish the spinning yarn from 25 yards. Yes it has been a fairytale fortnight for The Gasman. After suffering Impitis with the rest of the team before Christmas he has knuckled down and rebuilt his confidence from within. Saturday`s goal was the second of its kind this season capping a superb pillage and plunder performance. And this Saturday sees him pitted against Chester, a side he tore apart earlier in the season. Such is his form it could well be renamed Saint N`Guessan Day. For finally we are starting to see the gifted one giving it all.

Bert Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 I really hope we don't sign him, especially if this thread is anything to go by.
Alexikokopops Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 What are his thoughts of Danny N'Guessan? "Inconsistent. He can change a game in an instant, he just runs past the defence and occasionally you get an end product, be it a cross or a shot. He tracked back more this season and even got sent off for being the last man, harsh too cos he just ran past them and they fell over. He would be a good impact player to have on the bench to terorise aging full backs. Give us loads of money. Or maxi on loan. And he's french and goes shifting in town after a game."
teblin Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 A guy i work with who's a lincoln fan says this about Dany N'Guessan Pro's: Good hair cut Good Pace Skillful Goalscoring winger Strength Con's: Lazy Not a team player Over confident Positioning not great Say's he has potential could be a decent player under the right manager.

Gradel mark 2 if you throw in shit at crossing.

Add inconsistent and questionable crossing to the cons that and I'd say it's pretty comprehensive and "goes shifting in town after games" to pros and I think that sums it up Gradel mark 2 if you throw in shit at crossing.
teblin Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Gradel mark 2 if you throw in shit at crossing. Just asked my Lincoln man he says his crossing is quite good.
Alexikokopops Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Just asked my Lincoln man he says his crossing is quite good. My mate isn't so keen on it, although that maybe because, in his words "he just runs past the defence and occasionally you get an end product, be it a cross or a shot"
daveyboy Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 N'Guessan included in League 2 Team of the YearBy - 28/04/2009 19:38 Dany N'Guessan has been named in the League Two team of the Year just days before he is expected to make his final ever appearance for the Imps. He is set to leave Sincil Bank with Leicester City, Sheffield United, West Bromwich Albion, Hull City and various others believed to be amongst his admirers. N'Guessan's debut for the Imps came against Peterborough United in 2006/7. He made a small cameo at the end and came close to scoring, only just missing the post. He played a bit-part that season, often finding himself in the reserves. However, he came into the first team on a regular basis in the following season and has rarely been out of the side since. The one major criticism of N'Guessan is his inability to show his ability on a consistent basis, dazzling City one minute before then frustrating the next. His one consistent spell so far came between Christmas and March of this season, scoring vital goals and setting up several more in the process. Dany's final contribution for the Imps is likely to be this Saturday's home game against Aldershot. The Frenchman has been linked with moves to West Brom, Hull, Leicester, Sheffield United and various other clubs from much higher up the Leagues and it would take a near miracle for him to stay at Sincil Bank. His final season at Sincil Bank has seen him named in the end of season XI for City, two years after Lee Frecklington was the last man named. He is one of the five players to play for a team outside of the top seven teams. Strangely there isn't any room for any member of Brentford, the League Two Champions. THE LEAGUE TWO XI 2008/9 GK - Scott Shearer (Wycombe) DEF - Neil Austin (Darlington) DEF - Simon King (Gillingham) DEF - Tom Kennedy (Rochdale) DEF - David McCracken (Wycombe Wanderers) MID - Omar Daley (Bradford City) MID - Dany N'Guessan (Lincoln) MID - Ben Davies (Shrewsbury) MID - Tommy Doherty (Wycombe) ATT - Andy Bishop (Bury) ATT - Grant Holt (Shrewsbury) N'Guessan included in League 2 Team of the Year Sums it up really... clearly has some quality in there somewhere... so on a free plus doubt he'll want high wages, then maybe with Nige's big forearm wrapped around him he's worth a punt!?
Ozwin Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Maybe he's lazy because he wants to play at a higher level? Isn't motivated enough. Nigel will sort that out I'm sure, he's not going to play someone who's not putting the effort in.
Pete_foxes Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 N'Guessan included in League 2 Team of the YearSums it up really... clearly has some quality in there somewhere... so on a free plus doubt he'll want high wages, then maybe with Nige's big forearm wrapped around him he's worth a punt!? I agree, There would be a fee involved due to his age I think??? but I would have thought it would be small. Definitely worth a punt, much rather we take a look at younger players from lower leagues, than shed out 11K in wages to an ageing ex prem player
Shrenchel Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 No offence to anyones mates, but from big niges transfer dealings thus far Im pretty confident him and his backroom staff are better judges of a player´s potential than your average lincoln fan. The whole rumour could be bollocks though.
MPH Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 Dany N`Guessan The Kaka of League 2. http he's got the legs of a gazelle that lad has....
J.Lisemore Posted 29 April 2009 Posted 29 April 2009 My god.. until that video, i didn't think he could roam around a football pitch that quick!
crafty fox Posted 30 April 2009 Posted 30 April 2009 looks good on video but i suppose you could make a video of barry hayles's goals and make him look like tierry henry. he does look a lot stronger than dyer though !!
