Jimmy Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 This time its a torn Hamstring Levein was forced to make an early change after 26 minutes when James Wesolowski suffered a torn hamstring and was replaced by Morgaro Gomis. Two minutes later, United were ahead. Swanson crossed to the far post where Danny Grainger arrived to put the ball back across goal to Dods. He headed the ball down to the far post and there was Feeney to smash the ball into the net from point-blank range Jesus Christ this lad must be cursed or something
J.Lisemore Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Oh my lord, is this lad worth bothering with anymore...
Koke Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 I think he should just call it a day and work in Tesco alongside Malcolm Christie.
Jimmy Posted 5 May 2009 Author Posted 5 May 2009 is it better or worse that it's a muscle tear and not a broken bone given his history?
Hitesh Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Oh dear! Poor lad...he really needs to start thinking about having another career as I can't see a club giving him much of a chance with all these injuries.
Ric Flair Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 How long is that likely to keep him out for? Probably 6-8 weeks.
Thracian Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Wesolowski's combative, all-action style will always make him vulnerable to injury. He operates at his limits whereas some players have height and strength to spare and, sometimes, a less demanding style. Some people are naturally tough and their whole life has been tough from day one. To me Weso seems brave rather than naturally tough and durable like, say, Peter Reid and David Batty used to be. By contrast to Weso, Andy King is much more economical in his approach. He rarely goes to ground but, rather like Oakley, he hunts people down, forces them to make mistakes, pinches the ball with back-up and re-distributes it quickly and simply. Neither King nor Oakley are renowned for fierce, body-crunching tackles yet their durability is there in the statistics. Not that Weso's the first footballer to suffer a torn hamstring. I'll worry more when he starts getting them regularly.

Or you could argue that he tries to operate beyond his limits and screws himself over again and again.
Walshy5 Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 How long is left on his contract? Seems like he,s been with us for fook knows how long!
Darkzzz_ Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 It is obvious he won't be a Leicester player for that much longer, I feel for the lad to be honest. Injury after injury.
Matt Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Weso on the move? Craig Levein has confirmed Dundee United have first refusal on James Wesolowski and will open talks with Leicester next month. The 21-year-old, who has two years remaining on his contract at the Walkers Stadium, joined the Tangerines from Levein's former club in January and improved his match fitness with a string of solid performances. A hamstring tear has cut short his stay with United but Levein hopes to speak to his former employers next month to see if a return deal can be done. Levein revealed to the Press & Journal: "Considering James wasn't fit and had been out for so long with injury I think he did a really good job for us. "His fitness gradually got better and he was having more influence on games. Hopefully, we'll see him back again next season if we can do a deal with Leicester. "We've got an option on him, so I'll speak to his club and see what happens from there." Not the greatest of sources - http://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/lev...lks-898798.html
Dr The Singh Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Weso on the move? Not the greatest of sources - http://www.clubcall.com/leicester-city/lev...lks-898798.html His career has taken a battering, and so has his body!!! So much promise, let down by injury after injury......good luck to the lad for the future!!
Salieri Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Oh my lord, is this lad worth bothering with anymore... Sadly,
Dan Posted 5 May 2009 Posted 5 May 2009 Real shame tbh because when I saw him play with Joey Gudjonsson and look the much better bet I had real promising feelings for him, bit of a sickener that his careers been ruined.
