I really like this a lot…. Totally  fresh sound (made in ‘86)

Arthur Russel was a producer in the 70’s disco scene, but, was creating his own (totally unrelated) music…. He was a cellist I believe….
 

He only released one album before he died of aids - the whole of his world of echo album is great... Unlike anything else I’ve heard…

Having worked my way through a lot of my LP collection, I'm onto my singles.  I tend to collect singles of LP's I don't have/want.  There are plenty of guilty pleasures mixed in.

.... bought from Laskys on Church Gate, my trusted & dusty old Tannoy's have blared, boomed & rocked out for nigh on 30 years. And while I acknowledged they didn't do the subtle, refined & intricate. I always liked the gutsy n' raw sound they cranked out. 

 

However, a lot like me, they're a tad broken & bruised .... more than a little partied-out .......

 

So the big boomy Tannoy's have been retired and replaced with a dinky set of Q Acoustics 3020i's which now sit on some very neat Atacama stands.

Saw these two live a good few years ago. Both extremely talented musicians and SILFRA is a beautiful & sublime album that's now sounding even more beautific than ever.
