Steven Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 If Le Tissier can get the Southampton deal to go through he wants our Nige. I say foxtrot oscar. From the Mirror. Le Tissier had nominated Leicester boss Nigel Pearson as their new manager. But an approach for him cannot be made until the future of the club is resolved.
Guest Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 If Le Tissier can get the Southampton deal to go through he wants our Nige. I say foxtrot oscar. From the Mirror. Me too. Can't think that he'd go anywhere near them at all personally, but it's annoying to read that
Corky Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 He's just been in League 1 for a season, I don't think he's too keen on going back there.
foxoffderby Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 why would he want to go back to league 1, when hes at a club on the up? not worried. Southampton were linked to Keegan yesterday what happened to that one? Tommoro it will be somebody else.
Cobbo Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Ha! -10 points, in a mess, in the league below - yeah Nige is packing his bags!
Asha Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Ha!-10 points, in a mess, in the league below - yeah Nige is packing his bags! Plus it's the team that ditched him after he kept them up. Like he'd go back
Granno Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 I'd go and have an interview, then tell Le Tissier to get fooked.
C-man Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Having seen countless examples of Pearson's 'I only want people who want to play for LCFC' policy, I honestly believe that the man has too higher integrity for him to leave for any club outside the Premiership.
Guest Bilo Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Having seen countless examples of Pearson's 'I only want people who want to play for LCFC' policy, I honestly believe that the man has too higher integrity for him to leave for any club outside the Premiership. This. Bit of a non-story in all honesty. In the words of Brian Potter, 'I wanna moonwalk but life's a shithouse.'
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 I don't see the Southampton job being a problem, but the speculation might just catch the eyes of other chairman looking for a new man. I think the phrase "if you throw enough shit, some will stick" best empitamises my concerns with this "story."
Shrenchel Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 If this is true, Le tissier is clearly fooking stupid as well as hideously ugly. I cant think of one reason Pearson would want to go there.
Maybes Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Le Tiss had clearly been on a drug binge when saying this
Guest Bilo Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Unimaginative journalism. I thought that as well. 'Let's link Pearson with a former club now that Southampton look like they might be able to pay the bills, it's a slow news day.' Next they'll be linking him with Notts County cos they have some cash now and Pearson's a Nottingham lad. Lazy journalism.
samjohnson Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 I hope this is just tabloid talk... Nigel is like "God" around here!
MarkDeVries Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 No chance. He would be mentally unstable to leave us for Southampton that have -10 in League 1.
Unabomber Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 I want Pearson but doesn't mean I am going to get him.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 Only a moron would think that Nigel will step back down a division, especially to a team who have a ten point deduction before they even kick a ball. Nigel has ambition, and would not be interested in self destruction. It's got to be a wind up, or else the men in white jackets should be paying Southampton a visit!
StanSP Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 League One Champions and chance to fight for play-offs/promotion in Championship/ OR Relegated team, -10points, unstable future of a club. Think I know which one I'd choose.
iancognito Posted 21 June 2009 Posted 21 June 2009 The reason why the Pinnacle group taking over at Soton want an extraordinary meeting of the football league is to supposedly get the 10 points back and make them a more attractive proposition for Keegan. This is the same Daily Mirror that were reporting that Boro were on the verge of spending 1.5M on a Serbian wonder-kid only to admit a few days later that they'd been had and the player didn't exist let alone want to sign for Boro. The banking industry is in meltdown, the climate's screwed and mionor nations across the world are getting nuclear weapons but piss poor journalism will continue as usual.
craigadams22 Posted 22 June 2009 Posted 22 June 2009 Southampton can piss off leave our Nigel P alone I hope they go under and reform at another level
dandannieldanok Posted 22 June 2009 Posted 22 June 2009 Southampton can piss off leave our Nigel P alone I hope they go under and reform at another level Unnecessary, it's only paper trash talk. I'd hate to see Southampton go under.
