LeicesterLuke Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Seeing as Iain Hume will be returning to the Walkers Stadium on Saturday afternoon, The big question i want to no is; Will you Boo Him? In My Eyes, he was the main player in our team, He put 200% into every match, And it was sad to see him go, Especially after him saying he would stay and help us get back up, But never the less, I Will be 1 of the many fans (I Hope) To do the usual, Humeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, When his name is read out. What will you guys be doing...?
maddog Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I think he will get a nice reception when he comes out for the game. But once the match starts and he touches the ball he will get boooooooooooooed.
DanTheFox07 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Eating my Balti Pie probably, or texting. mmmmmm Balti Pie!!!
Libertine Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Bit silly to boo him. Always gave his all. Yes, he said he'd stay then did a U-turn but I really couldn't give a flying shag.
Budweiser Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I won't boo and I won't clap either. He claimed he would stay with us and then just left us. He was a good player for us. That's it really.
Fox92 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Well seeing as he left when the club were relegated I thought some may boo him. As above, may get a good reception but everytime he gets the ball he may get jeered. As long as he doesn't do what Mark Bunn did if they score.
AyewJoking Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Applaud him but if he does play I feel he will pose little or no threat.
Vlad The Impaler Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Will get a good reception from me, from everyone I hope, great player for us. Balti Pie
Corky Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Don't see the point in booing him. Won't cheer him either.
mancunianfox Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Indifferent to his actions once we got relegated. However, what happened to him last year was horrific and he has done well to fight his way back. I would respect any player for achieving that and would probably cheer them. For me giving a good reception to an ex-player who always tried hard for us, who has managed to fight his way back from a potentially career-ending injury is a no-brainer.
Guest Bilo Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 No reason why he shouldn't get a decent reception, especially given the awful time he's had since joining Barnsley through no fault of his own. He always gave everything for us, even if he wasn't necessarily the greatest player ever to pull on the shirt. So long as he doesn't make a twat of himself like Bunn apparently did, he should get a warm round of applause.
foxoffderby Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Was a big fan of Hume met him in a bar in Loughbourgh after we got relegated. Asked him the question straight ru staying or going. He said im staying. Two weeks later he was gone. I just wish hed been straight with me and said something like I need to be playing championship football etc and therefore im considering my options. I wont be booing him but I wont clap either. I just want three points. In time we shall see if Hume was right to leave us, we are heading in one direction and Barnsley the other.
acooling08 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 If people clap, I'll clap. If people boo, I'll keep quiet.
eaststandtom Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 all those guys owed city admittedly hume wore his heart on his sleeve more in his performances but he shouldve stayed i wont be clapping but i wont be booig when his names read out
Bluefoxtim Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 If people clap, I'll clap. If people boo, I'll keep quiet. What if people clap AND boo?

C-man Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 It's been said time and time again that Hume didn't want to leave but the club left him with no choice! I'll give him a clap.
Ozwin Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 I'll cheer him when his name is read out, he was a standout for us during that abysmal time.
Fox92 Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 all those guys owed cityadmittedly hume wore his heart on his sleeve more in his performances but he shouldve stayed i wont be clapping but i wont be booig when his names read out __ On a different note, why didn't he want to leave apparently? Nigel stated that 'the players that wanted to leave came to see me and we had a talk and then they left the club because they didn't want to play for the club.' Does Hume fit in to that because there were only 3 that went? Anway, there was only Stearman that made a good move.
