lcfc_jme Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 He was better than most of the shit that got us relegated and I think had his hands tied when he wanted to move. Doesn't make him any less shit though, does it? He was shit for us and now he's an opposition player.
Milky Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 Perhaps people like him as a person. That sort of stuff is possible.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 To those who think Hume jumped ship - why would you join Barnsley? (in all due respect)
Unit Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 To those who think Hume jumped ship - why would you join Barnsley? (in all due respect) that's a bit like asking why gudjonnsen (apart from his year of bench warming at alkmaar) would join burnley, you never know what'll happen in football and as a player who doesn't support the club like these two it's probably worth the risk, although i can't see burnley doing anything mental like... beating man utd at home?
Bert Posted 20 August 2009 Posted 20 August 2009 To those who think Hume jumped ship - why would you join Barnsley? (in all due respect) Exactly. He was no longer wanted here, ( ) and Barnsley came up with the money and championship football for Hume.
Sods Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Average player in a shit team. The guy will get cheers but he was only alright. This is why i feel sorry for our young generation who have witnessed shit and seen him as a hero?
SOCCERROO FOX Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 all those guys owed cityadmittedly hume wore his heart on his sleeve more in his performances but he shouldve stayed i wont be clapping but i wont be booig when his names read out How do you figure this? Hume gave his all for a couple of seasons then got sold when we got relegated
Finnegan Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I'd clap any player that's battling back from the knock he took whether he was one of ours or not. Put in a good shift here, I reckon that's worth my applause. Wouldn't cheer him all game, mind.
ACF Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuume
Fox92 Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 He's still shit. Why does anyone even care about him? He's just another opposition player, no more, no less. Possibly correct. I don't care what people say, I think he jumped ship and is still another opposition player. He was better than most of the shit that got us relegated and I think had his hands tied when he wanted to move. Why was he? Wern't they all poor, which got us into the position of relegation? They were all part of the team. One player cannot stand out if the club were relegated. There is no I in team and Hume was part of the side that got the club relegated for the first time ever. He wasn't better than most, they were all shocking and poor. Gallagher has signed today ?? Good if he has though what did Mark Bunn do? When Sheffield United scored on Tuesday turned round a celebrated against us. I hate him now. To those who think Hume jumped ship - why would you join Barnsley? (in all due respect) Playing in a higher division and wanted more money Apparntly, Sheffield United wanted him as well but he went to Barnsley. Average player in a shit team. The guy will get cheers but he was only alright. This is why i feel sorry for our young generation who have witnessed shit and seen him as a hero? Agreed. How do you figure this? Hume gave his all for a couple of seasons then got sold when we got relegated No matter if he gave 1%, 10% or 110% each game, the players including Hume got the club relegated and owed the club and the fans big style. Overall, to me Hume, McAuley and Stearman all asked for transfers.

Raj Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 mild applause. mainly 'cos he got over his awful injury.
Fox92 Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 You were doing so well... As Bert confirmed he wasnt wanted here... I know
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I'd be a bit worried if I had to face Wayne Brown so soon after recovering from a serious cranial injury.
Alexikokopops Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Why clap someone that gave 110%? It's the minimum any player should give. But he was pretty much the only one that actually did. He could have quite easily slipped into lethargy and joined the rest of the players, so I say fair play to him for not doing that even though it would have been a much easier ride. He's still shit. Why does anyone even care about him? He's just another opposition player, no more, no less. He was better than most of the shit that got us relegated and I think had his hands tied when he wanted to move. Doesn't make him any less shit though, does it? He was shit for us and now he's an opposition player. Lets be honest though, even if you think he's shit, or not, he was less shit than the rest of the shit we had playing in one of the shittest teams to play for Leicester. He made that shit team a little bit more enjoyable to watch. Couple that with Finners' point and I'd give him a clap if I could be arsed to drag myself up to Leicester. I'd clap any player that's battling back from the knock he took whether he was one of ours or not.Put in a good shift here, I reckon that's worth my applause. Wouldn't cheer him all game, mind. Possibly correct. I don't care what people say, I think he jumped ship and is still another opposition player.... Overall, to me Hume, McAuley and Stearman all asked for transfers. it's been stated by a number of reliable sources (knowitall and Bert included) that he didn't want to leave, but the club wanted to get rid (presumably for a bit of dollar, he was one of our few salable assets). Oh, and Hume didn't ask for a transfer.
Katy Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I'll give him a clap but I won't cheer him, nor will I boo, providing he doesn't act like a knob.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 He's still shit. Why does anyone even care about him? He's just another opposition player, no more, no less. He has had major injury problems. How can you make immature comments about him, when he was the only player to have shown his worth in that dreadful season? He stood head and shoulders above everyone else, and worked his socks off for us. I would dearly love to have him back here.
James. Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Any player that demands a transfer after stating on record he wanted to stay at the club will not get a clap from me.

Oh, and Hume didn't ask for a transfer. Well, you all might be correct because I am fighting against myself really but on the DVD Nigel Pearson states: 'In my first week here we lost 3 players who played a big part in last season's campaign but that didn't bother me'. He continues and then finishes it off by saying 'If they wanted to go, so be it'. Now, does that include Hume then? I'll give him a clap but I won't cheer him, nor will I boo, providing he doesn't act like a knob. Like Mark Bunn
Fez of Mahrez Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 Similar to what Alex said. He's a player that always gave 100% at a time when not many did. He was a good player for us with a decent goalscoring record. He had an extremely serious injury inflicted upon him by a thug and has returned to play, and has always had good things to say about our club and our fans since leaving. I'll happily give him a clap and a cheer.

Sirloin Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 I think booing him would be cretinous. He may well have been a part of an extremely poor team, but I would rather have someone crap who at least tried than someone average who clearly doesn't care. I'll be giving him a good welcome as a good servant for the club.

The Doctor Posted 21 August 2009 Posted 21 August 2009 So no pig's heads then? still don't get why you would bring a pigs head. Explain
