And if they ARE that good, why isn't David Dickinson (Phil Brown) sniffing around them for that price?

Budweiser Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 I think it would be silly to allow Fryatt to go even for 4 million. We need him this season, and he would be difficult to replace. I cant see Mandaric allowing him to go, surely he wants to get into the premiership, and for that you need your key players and Fryatt is definately a key player no matter how many times he is slated on here and many saying he doesnt cut it in the championship, it would be a mistake to let him go Mandaric may see the ££££ signs though but i really hope not! Complete opposite surely?

topharry123 Posted 24 August 2009 Posted 24 August 2009 So there's talk of Fryatt on his way out, and last week I got the impression that Beckford was a target with too hefty a price tag. So, to all you city fans, would you be happy to see Fryatt off, and Beckford come in? My view is under no circumstance would I want Fryatt to go. He's been on fire the last year and really settled well since his first bad years with us. I know a lot of people are saying let him go as he only scored a few last time in the championship. But realistically I think that can be forgotten. He's scoring goals now so the past matters not. I can't see anyone coming in, including Beckford as a replacement who will gel with the team like he does, and personally I think a bid of nearer 7mil would be the point when maybe I would start thinking we should accept it. Not because he is worth that to another club, but I think to us he is worth a lot more.
