Simi Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 May aswell shift him out, Milan pocket the cheque, shove Wayne Brown up top, bring Tunch back in to partner Jack and we'll see you in the prem. Cheers.
Ozwin Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 For £4m he could buy someone proven at Championship level, maybe even Premier League level. Why come in for Fryatt who's in his first proper Championship season with a decent team behind him? He's not even shown he can cut it here yet.

Samilktray Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 If they actually offered 4million and we rejected it, I'd be completely disillusioned with life.
ronnup Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 If they actually offered 4million and we rejected it, I'd be completely disillusioned with life. so true
Samilktray Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Jozy Altidore and Matthew 'Deceptively quick' Fryatt together has me wet.
Tuna Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Every player has their price but FRYATT is too important to sell. fook Brown he's a permatanned twat with an ego the size of Wales. It would be a dreadful thing to let a key player, one of our best and most popular leave at such a time. He's too important to sell.
Ozwin Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Hull can get better for £4m, it's probably a load of rubbish.
maddog Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Where did Phil Brown say he was speaking to 2 players with bids accepted I hope Kermo signs tomorrow and Fryatt is gone so we don't have endless speculation again.
MC Prussian Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Where did Phil Brown say he was speaking to 2 players with bids accepted I hope Kermo signs tomorrow and Fryatt is gone so we don't have endless speculation again. Coming from the Master of Speculation himself. Admit it, you'd miss Fryatt.

Why would NP want to disrupt the squad at this point in time? We are clearly still carrying on the momentum from last year and selling one of our key strikers would be madness, even for £4M!
Jordan Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 If Leicester received offer the last time Fryatt was in the Championship, I'd have taken it in a heartbeat. This time, though, I would hold on to him unless I was offered a king's ransom. Fryatt has worked very hard to finally mature into a striker that can bang in goals at this level and possibly beyond, and Leicester did their own due diligence to get him signed last year. Do we think Gallagher and Kermo are better than Fryatt and Howard?
maddog Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Coming from the Master of Speculation himself.Admit it, you'd miss Fryatt. No way. I'm certainly not a Fryatt er I'm tired of Matty Fryatt, it's time for a new striker to start moaning about.
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Personally would take it and buy Ross McCormack, Gary McSheffrey and make a permanent move for Waghorn, McCormack as the direct replacement, McSheffrey can play up front or left wing and is class at doing it as well, and Waghorn I can just tell will be something special, problem is I don't think £4mil could buy you all 3 of them. MsSheffrey was released for a reason - lack of form. Fryatt is in form and scoring goals, and sometimes as a striker, once you're in the nack you continue regardless of what level you play at. Matty seems to be in the swing of things at the moment, his confidence is up and he's a bright young and intelligent player. I fear that a lot of the people saying sell for 4 million still see the Fryatt from the relagation season and are not seeing that we have a striker in form and that has a good relationship with the team around him. There is no guarantee that any replacement will do the same - and if Fryatt did move and went on to be a sucess how would you feel then?
Bryn Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...ity/8213871.stm Holy shit I did not realise this, my God we should be in the mix for that. If Fryatt goes that is.
clare Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Do people actually think NP will sanction this, if it is true?

Do we think Gallagher and Kermo are better than Fryatt and Howard? He's only scored 2 goals so far and 1 was from a lucky deflected free kick at Sheffield. Hardly a striker who can bang in goals at this level just yet, maybe if he keeps it up for the whole season. If Hull offered £3m i would accept, but £4m is a ridiculous price for a player who may stop scoring soon.
FilboFox Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 DO NOT sell Fryatt... we need him. For one, we don't have enough good strikers here at the moment and selling yet another, and such a key one, would be a MASSIVE loss to the team. Secondly, although £4m sounds a lot, in terms of how much value he adds to the team up front, we ought to be looking to keep him for that sort of price, we're not going to find another striker who has the impact that Fryatt has had the last season and a bit. Howard, Campbell, Dickov and Gallagher? Not exactly a line up for the front that would worry many teams.

He can turn on a sixpence has two good feet and can spot a good pass. He will be quality for us this season. If it is true and not newspaper speculation we should cash in for 4 million quid. However, Fryatt is proving me wrong this season and can score goals at this level. His goal yesterday was pure class. People make me laugth on these forums. Going on about Fryatt being unproven in the Premiership, then mention Beckford for us, when he has not played in the championship. Besides, can't see Nigel selling Fryatt at all he is our number 1 striker.

That the line up of alternatives isn't going to worry other teams? It won't. You even said he was proving you wrong and scoring this season and that his goal yesterday was pure class. Even if Gallagher is good and playing well, him on his own with one of either Howard, Dickov or Campbell up front is simply not good enough at this level... we need Fryatt.
Head Honcho Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 Mandaric will not turn that kind of money down. I suppose NP will have a bit of a an epi but if anyone "does" offer £4 million then he's gone.
maddog Posted 23 August 2009 Posted 23 August 2009 I still think Dickov can play a massive part in our play off push. Losing Fryatt won't hurt us at all.
