Liamlcfc1 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Now Blackpool are up how much will we get for campbell could we push it up to £3M
LcFc-Smithy Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 £3m would be great for dj campbell. that could go towards the waghorn fund.
Sylvie85 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 I'll have some of what you lot are smoking. haha. I can't see us getting more than £1.5 million tops for him.
Jimmy Lad Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 We'll be lucky to get £750k. He only has 1 year left on his contract and Blackpool know we are desperate to the sale.
sw_fox Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 We'll be lucky to get £750k. He only has 1 year left on his contract and Blackpool know we are desperate to the sale. Exactly, and now they are in the premier league they are much more of an attractive proposition to other (better) strikers looking to make the step up, or other proven prem strikers. On the other hand, their fans will be foaming at the gash to sign him and will be very disappointed with the club management if they don't.
Corky Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 I'm sure it will be undisclosed, probably around a million in total.
purpleronnie Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 I'd let him go for 2/6d Yeah he's proved what a rubbish player he is helping blackpool to go up.
Fox You Forest Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Yeah he's proved what a rubbish player he is helping blackpool to go up. Look on the bright side, gives you some ammo for a few days at least.
sdb Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Blackpool are obviously gonna want to keep him, he's been a big part of them going up. We should get the best price we can and 750k aint that. We should hold out for £2 MILL-ish, he's worth it when he's on form. All parties want it to happen and ultimately it's in our hands. An extra 500k-1mill could be the difference between Waggy or no Waggy next season, or another Hobbs/Weale/Wellens.
Jimmy Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 for a **** with 1 year on his contract I'd be happy with 50p and a bag of chips, take whatever we can get for him and save his mammoth wages, could probably get 2 or 3 players for what he's on a week
Ike O'Noclassed Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Exactly, and now they are in the premier league they are much more of an attractive proposition to other (better) strikers looking to make the step up, or other proven prem strikers. On the other hand, their fans will be foaming at the gash to sign him and will be very disappointed with the club management if they don't. But DJ clearly isn't a prem-class striker. Why would a prem team sign him?
Mort Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 Blackpool are keen to buy, we're keen to sell... wont get silly money but should get a decent proportion of what we paid Brum.
fox123 Posted 22 May 2010 Posted 22 May 2010 As long as we get what we paid for him, and he is off the wage book. Fook him.
bluebeau Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Re: Play off final Q/ Did youguys notice how many times he was off side? A/ None. I just do not understand why NP & his staff couldn't get him to perform well for City. He has done well for Blackpool, but can he cut it in the Prem? I don't think Olly will come rushing in to buy him. No-one else will want to buy him, so imo Olly will take his time & offer max. £500k when the players report back for training.
Bryn Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Over 2 mil for a player we can't wait to get rid of? What are you smoking? I'd take any fee. Just get his ridiculous wages gone.
Guest Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 There could be other teams interested too - championship teams.
The Doctor Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 Re: Play off final Q/ Did you guys notice how many times he was off side? A/ None. untrue. He was beyond the last man so very frequently. The only reason he didn't get flagged as being offside was because he didn't get the ball - doesn't mean he wasn't offside.
Guest Bilo Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 The transfer fee won't be huge for the reasons already stated. What will be a bigger deal is getting his exorbitant wages off the books, as this will free up some wedge to sign loanees, freebies and possibly a couple of higher profiles signings. The 20k a week or whatever it is that's being wasted on him would be much better spent this way.
Edmund Posted 23 May 2010 Posted 23 May 2010 untrue. He was beyond the last man so very frequently. The only reason he didn't get flagged as being offside was because he didn't get the ball - doesn't mean he wasn't offside. I've got a felling he will sign for Forest. They can afford him and they like their quick forwards. And lets not forget he put on display of what he's capable of at the City Ground.

Neither could Gary Megson or Ian Holloway himself when he was here. The bloke is just an all round shit player with a bit of a rudeboi attitude. If Ollie offers 500k then we should take it and not look back.
