Technically we're not good enough and are just a team full of players who shine in teams surrounded by world class foreigners. It still astonishes me players like Adam Johnson didn't get a look in. Players get to complacent when they know their always going to be picked living on their name on the back of their shirts. The whole team needs to go back to basics. Give the shirt to players who give a fuck. Bring back some team spirit for fucks sake. They should be locked in their hotel rooms and shown a dvd of Euro 96 when the likes of Gazza, Psycho, Ince, Shearer, Sheringham played their hearts out for the shirt. Been saying that for ages I still think a team thats not filled with superstars would actually do better for england, wont happen though. I'm still amazed that people actually think we're a good side and always predict us to win. WE ARE NOT A GOOD SIDE. We have good individual players...thats it. They perform well in the premiership because they have a lot of talented foreign players around them and play the likes of stoke and wign etc... If we play like that against possibly the poorest team in the WC what hope against the top sides? At least we still have something to play for, most (not me) didnt expect us to have to win the last game to get through but thats the situation. There's still hope but its fading.

I accept Heskey gave plenty of effort tonight but there were a handful of times where Heskey controlled it with his shin with the ball ending up heading straight to an Algerian. And i don't think there was a touch from Rooney that didn't land 3-4 feet away or a pass that made it to another England shirt besides 1 or 2 link ups with Gerrard. Lampard was wasteful and didn't bother. Lennon and SWP went down blind alleys and tried to many shitty flicks that ended up back with Algeria. What did Defoe do in the 15 minutes he was on? So i might be slightly mad but Heskey has played better than some of these so called World Class players and they deserve to be dropped before he does.

Capello hailed as the biggest thing since sliced bread when qualifying comfortably with that same system, Heskey's role emphasized ("look at England's record when Heskey has played") and a few on here looking down on the other teams in Group C. I'm sorry that we're not seeing an England side that plays better than that, but there is a small element of schadenfreude mostly towards those that thought England would stroll through the group. I have never hailed him as he best thing since sliced bread. He beat Andorra, Belarus and Kazakhstan and now it's getting serious, he is getting it completely wrong, he deserves criticism.

All very poor, there just to predictable now days 4-4-2, Capello is scared to change and unless he does Slovenia are going to easily get a draw and knock England out. Rooney, Gerrard, Lampard and Heskey all need to be dropped for any chance of 3 points

I'm not Pro-Heskey but if i'm honest theres been players out there that deserve more slick when it comes to Major Tournaments then Emile. How he dared to have a pop at the reaction is beyond me. Thousands and thousands of £'s have been spent and so far they've seen one crap performance, one totally inept (shit!!) performance and one goal. All the while Rooney et all are getting paid vasts amounts of money regardless.
