Finnegan Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Yeah it must have been terrible winning the Premiership.
Jimothy Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Yeah it must have been terrible winning the Premiership. That was 15 years ago, must be pretty shite being a fan now.
The Doctor Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 That was 15 years ago, must be pretty shite being a fan now. yep. They pay the inflated prices of prem football and see a team which has just one real plan: Launch it long for the strikers/ put chris samba up front and launch it long. still they do get the odd cup run as well (won LC 2002, Semis FA Cup 2005, Semis LC 2010)
Finnegan Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 That was 15 years ago, must be pretty shite being a fan now. It's not like our cup triumphs were last year. Or that we play infinitely more exciting football or at any higher a level. Don't get me wrong, they're not especially an exciting club and I don't really like them in any way but there's certainly worse around and I don't really think we're in that much of a position to be smug! I'd swap our two league cups for a Premiership title in my life time to be honest.
MC Prussian Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Well, that was pure advertisement for the Premier League. Two classy teams fighting out a tense, scoreless draw. Sometimes, it's actually good to be a Leicester fan.

Super_horns Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Well, that was pure advertisement for the Premier League. Two classy teams fighting out a tense, scoreless draw. Sometimes, it's actually good to be a Leicester fan. For all the effort there wasn't much more quality than you see in most Championship games! Sunderland played the better football but Blackburn have one aim now..enough points to stay up and they usually do it.
SystonFox Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 I think he has the credentials to be like him. He just has that stance about him, and the way he isn't afraid to attack the defence. Just my opinion, mind. Yeah but nani just hasn't got it. And when I say it I mean he doesn't have what ronaldo has. Good player but not great
Samilktray Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Berbatov will be the best player in the premiership by the end of this season.
iBleedLeicesterColours Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 Berbatov will be the best player in the premiership by the end of this season. Your posts get worse.
SystonFox Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 That challinor fella for tranmere wasn't allowed a towel for long throws in the 2000 LC final.we were happy
lildave3 Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 I thought they had some of the cheapest season tickets in the Premiership? Pretty sure not just in the Prem, one of the cheapest in the country iirc.
lcfcsnow Posted 18 October 2010 Posted 18 October 2010 I'd hate to be a Blackburn fan. I feel for any supporters of a club with Allardyce as manager.
Dickie Greenleaf Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I thought they had some of the cheapest season tickets in the Premiership? Yeah they do. Think Wigan are the cheapest but Blackburn arent far behind. Its the only premier league ground that can pretty much guarentee an away fan a ticket on the day. As for the whole Rooney/ Fergusson selling players thing, its a myth that plaeyers never go on to anything after they leave man utd (always at a loss for utd it should be added) Werent they after Benzema for ages. Surely a possible make-weight in any transfer?
Alexikokopops Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Berbatov and Nani have been far more effective this season than Scholes or Giggs. And Rooney for that matter. People seem to be gleefully forgetting he was shit even before this story broke. He hasn't scored from open play for Man Utd in 7 months.
mancunianfox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 As for the whole Rooney/ Fergusson selling players thing, its a myth that plaeyers never go on to anything after they leave man utd (always at a loss for utd it should be added) This. Most of the big players who have left United, certainly the ones who have left in recent years have gone on and done well. People are mentioning Van Nistelrooy, Stam, Ince, Beckham etc. as examples of why United aren't going to be in trouble but the fact is United where in a different position financially back then. They were for a long time the number one club in the transfer market and this is no longer true. Since the Glazers took over the quality of their squad has been decreasing and they aren't replacing players anymore. United last season and this have never looked more vulnerable on the pitch and are now at least fourth in the pecking order when it comes to transfers. Chelsea, Manchester City, Tottenham, Arsenal and at a push maybe even Liverpool have all demonstrated greater muscle in the transfer market than United in recent years and thats just in the UK. Thats not even counting Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan, Bayern Munich etc. United aren't going to do much relying on just Berbatov and Nani...two players virtually anonymous in big games. This is perhaps the first season in which they have ever looked at risk of finishing outside of the top four and the clubs business model cannot sustain that. Is estimated £700 million debt sustainable in the Europa league? I think not.
Tevez Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Monday Night Football was well good last night... Sunderland v Blackburn?!?! Dog shit

mancunianfox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Ferguson has confirmed that Rooney wants out. He claims that the club were informed that Rooney wouldn't be signing a new contract on the 14th August which is surprising. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/man_utd/9104392.stm

StanSP Posted 21 October 2010 Posted 21 October 2010 Apparently Leon Osman's career is finished through an ankle injury. Very unfortunate. Everton do have their fair share of injury problems and a small squad and this is like a kick in the bollocks for them if this is true.
