sdb Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 if true, would be brill imagine paintsil - brown - hobbs - berner
cc_star Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Would ask for a source, but now its appeared here it will probably be on MirrorFootball.co.uk later. Also the team only left Thailand on Sunday, probably not back to work till Tuesday, so who has Brown been speaking to, a cleaner?
crazylegs1984 Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 It seems bullshit , the only source I've found on the net is from football rumours it also states Steve guppy is coming back to coach

Don't think he went out, it was just sven, the coaching staff, the players and top wasn't it?
BigBawsFaeTheShaws Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Could be something in it: http://www.goal.com/en/news/9/england/2010/10/09/2158561/wes-browns-future-at-manchester-united-is-in-doubt-after-row
Ford Super Sunday Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 When he signed his new deal in 2008, he was reportedly going to earn £55k a week. Of course it depends whether we'd pay any of his wages if it's a loan, or if he was perm he would take a pay cut, but he'd be a high earner fo sho.
Lillehamring Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 this is a name that popped up from something bert said about a rumour that we were interested in an underwhelming ex-england defender, it also brought up the much more likely sol campbell. so, this is being discussed elsewhere, a superfluous thread, i reckon.
RobHawk Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I really dont rate Wes Brown and never have but he would surely be able to do the buisness at this level. Would really just question his commitment if we got him. 1 min champs league the next championship! Is he really going to be up for it?
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I first read this on 606 so not sure its true, but not ruling it out.
StanSP Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Never been a fan of Wes Brown if I'm honest. No idea how he's stayed in the Man Utd squad and up until recently the England set-up.

Man, you're going to be difficult to please
Petchy Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I did suggest that the ex-England CB was him in the 10 Million thread... Went through the prem squads and came up with a list who it could possibly be... Curtis Davies Zat Knight Wes Brown Sol Campbell Steven Taylor Jonathan Woodgate
Bettsj2 Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Never been a fan of Wes Brown if I'm honest. No idea how he's stayed in the Man Utd squad and up until recently the England set-up. He's 30 and has spent his entire career at Man Utd so he must be doing something right.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Never been a fan of Wes Brown if I'm honest. No idea how he's stayed in the Man Utd squad and up until recently the England set-up. This. Fergie is no idiot though so there must be something in the funny looking fella. You would have to expect that he would be decent at this level and I think he would be up for it as he has probably recognised that unless he is planning an early retirement a step-down in class will be ineviatble for a player like him. He may as well do it when he still rates himself to stand out as a good player in the championship rather than wait until the decision is made for him and he is too diminshed to make a good impression.
mancunianfox Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 People are turning there noses up at Wes Brown now?!?!?! Yes he is maybe not good enough to hold down a place in Manchester Uniteds first team but how many players are? Brown would have no shortage of takers in the premier league if her were available. We are Leicester and we are in the bottom half of the championships ffs. Get a grip of yourselves!

MrLuke Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 Would be a cracking signing, again would be surprised if true. Could imagine him going to someone like Newcastle or Sunderland.
Houdini Logic Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 He's fallen out with Fergie and on his way to Sunderland according to just about everywhere online. The guy can walk into most premier league clubs - give up on this
Corky Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 If true then I'm all for it. Never rated him too highly but we are a second-tier side and I think he'd be a good addition to the squad.
lcfc_jme Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 @ anyone who says they wouldn't welcome Wes Brown here. Especially if they're the same people bemoaning the lack of experience in our back-line since his namesake Wayne got fvcked off. Anyway, I highly doubt he'll be coming here, but that's beside the point.
Uncle Monty Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I think that I would probably eat my hat if we signed Brown.
Master Fox Posted 11 October 2010 Posted 11 October 2010 I think that I would probably eat my hat if we signed Brown. Me too What a great signing he would be
