andysilv Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Source West Brom: Ishmael Miller becomes loan targetOct 19 2010 by Christopher Lepkowski, Birmingham Mail ISHMAEL Miller has been identified as a potential loan target for Leicester City. The Foxes were finalising a deal for ex-Villa striker Darius Vassell last night, with Sven-Goran Eriksson on the look-out for another forward. I understand Miller is among the targets on his list, along with ex-Baggies man Jason Roberts, who is currently with Blackburn. Miller’s hopes of a move may rest on his fitness, having only returned to full training last Wednesday following a thigh injury. Injuries at the club permitting, Albion have told Miller he can agree a 28-day loan. He worked with Eriksson during the former England manager’s spell at Manchester City.
RizLCFC Posted 19 October 2010 Author Posted 19 October 2010 Linked on a 28 day loan, cracking buy if we signed him! Source: http://www.birminghammail.net/birmingham-sport/west-bromwich-albion-fc/west-bromwich-albion-fc-news/2010/10/19/west-brom-ishmael-miller-becomes-loan-target-97319-27497022/
Bellend Sebastian Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Mentioned in this morning's Mercury as well
mancunianfox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Always liked Miller, wanted us to sign him on loan or a perm a few years ago when he was at Manchester City.
foxoffderby Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 The WBA fans I know dont rate him, however at Championship level he can do a job. The times I've seen him hes been quite wasteful. Not sure about this one would prefer Jason Roberts if we had a choice. Miller has pace and power but is not the best finsiher. I think hes a poor mans Heskey.
Leicester_Loyal Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Never really seen him play so can't comment on this potential buy.
Babylon Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Never really seen him play so can't comment on this potential buy. You just did.
bettso Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 6ft 3 and fast as road runner. Great signing if it comes off. Big man up front but with more pace and skill than Howard. Superb.
phillthefox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 excellent if this comes in big strong fast striker, young mans howard, quality.....
Leicester_Loyal Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 You just did. Knew you'd comment something like that. Yes I commented, move along. 6ft 3 and fast as road runner. Great signing if it comes off. Big man up front but with more pace and skill than Howard. Superb. He sounds like God
cambridgefox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I would like this to happen, with his pace he will create so much in this league.
Fox88 Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 He has proven himself at this level but he isnt getting games at the baggies and isnt on top of his game. So is 28days long enough? I dont think he'll make an impact but would love to be proven wrong
Ricey Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Good player but I'm not entirely convinced bringing in players just for a month is really wise. We need points, but we also need a settled side that is going to perform between now and the end of the season.
samjohnson Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 6ft 3 and fast as road runner. Great signing if it comes off. Big man up front but with more pace and skill than Howard. Superb. I think a 4 year old has more pace than Howard
Callabinho Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 If we get Roberts, Vassel and Miller in, What happens to Waghorn?
Leicester_Mad Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 If we get Roberts, Vassel and Miller in, What happens to Waghorn? Sven didn't sign him, he has to prove himself!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 I remember he was great before he was injured badly, would be a god signing.
Asha Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Ishmael Miller would rip this division to pieces. Miller-Vassell strikeforce? :w00t:
Ozwin Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Really impressed with the players we're being linked with under Sven.
dandannieldanok Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 This guy would be a quality player for us, same mould as Waghorn but generally much much better. Fitness would be a concern but he'll come in fighting for his future career like Davies and Naughton are. Plus he has the ability and power to create chances for himself, which is handy considering we as a team don't generally create a lot for the strikers.
Koke Posted 19 October 2010 Posted 19 October 2010 Miller and Fryatt share same birthday [5th March]. Watch them develop a telepathic understanding relationship.
