Is deffo true.

I am a journalist here in Ireland and the word round the Irish camp last weekw as Keane could be heading this way on loan.

However like a lot of others it is now his choice, because he has the option of staying put and getting wages for no effort at all.

Fine journalism there.

The guy was quite clearly (and correctly) pointing out that Keane wouldn't be giving up an exotic life playing football in Milan in exchange for 'sunny Leicester' if he came here because the night in Milan was a one off, unlikely to be repeated for quite some time. He plays the majority of his football in England anyway; that was the point he was making.

It's about time people would start topics about which players we won't sign.

January's transfer window still more than a month away, but some are already panicking to move their rumours in.

You'd think the deluded people might have woken up after the beckham nonsense.

Seems not.

Does that mean Eriksson is deluded too?

poor joke....:/

Although it would have been a loan, City would have had to pay a large percentage of Keane's reported £75,000 a week wages.

just shows what clout we've now got !

Or how detached from reality we're becoming?dunno.gif

I echo these sentiments. We MUST get to the premier league this season because we can't afford to splash the cash like this for another year.

Its a heck of a gamble

I did, but someone deleted it <_<

Define you boundaries and that's what they'll become. Eriksson clearly has the nerve and self-belief to try for anyone he thinks will enhance our side and perhaps lift the club's profile in doing so.

That's so refreshing and something I've been looking forward to for years. I've already Erisson's got class and, with any luck, that same quality will seep into our team sooner rather than later.

I'm actually excited by what he's trying to do and wonder when was the last time any City fan could justifiably feel like that?

Agreed, even a post suggesting Robbie Keane is a transfer target is readable, because you just don't know these days. This is so much better than looking to sign Trevor Benjamin (sorry Trev), Junior Lewis, Andy Impy and some of the other dross we've had the mis fortune to be not only linked with but actually sign.
