Remember not to get too carried away, mind. Hinckley is our proper derby, this is just as big as beating Wolves or Villa.

We won the big game two weeks ago Finners ;)

Wellens was superb today. Normally, I'm not his biggest fan, but over the past few weeks he's grown on me, and tonight's performance was lovely.

As I've said before, Wellens is perfect for a game-closing situation, he can slow the pace down and buy some time.

He does go down rather too easily for my liking though.

To be serious - that was a master chess tactician at work, I'm so impressed with the way Sven approached the game and how he ensured the win.

Darius was outstanding while King continues to delight me. Bednar may or may not prove his salt, Gally fell short. The back five were solid with Weale being particularly good (a point to prove?). Abe was hit and miss, Wellens was simply Wellens.

Was King's shoulder covered in ice, bird shit or snot at the end of the game?

Agree with absolutely everything you said about the players there. Bednar put a shift in - and adds some mobility compared to Howard, so I am quite optimistic about him. Kingy always looks a threat and seems to be getting stronger and quicker all the time.

Think it was bird shit!

Wellens reminded me a lot of Robbie Savage back when he played for us. Just the kind of player you need for a big derby. Like Robbie Savage some of his tackles were a little suspect but he was up for the challenge and really got into the game. Perhaps Abe, King and Wellens could be our new Lennon, Izzet and Savage.

The BBC website says that Forest had 58% possession. Is it just me or did it feel like we had more?

Thoroughly deserved to win despite a patchy first half.

If we can get a striker on form, we'll be hard to stop due to the amount of chances we create.

Fun in the snow :santa:

Yes then.

lol lol lol lol

Could only be bettered by beating them away. I don't give a shit how we beat these branch cvnts, as long as we beat them. I'm over the fvcking moon, and it's made even better by a) me being at uni in Nottingham, b) me watching it in a Nottingham pub and c) some cvnt Forest fan threatening to glass me and then attempting to hit me with a stool at half time. FVCKING LOVE IT.

Love it :chant:

A few blips but overall very controlled win.

How long have they played together and can everybody speak english!? :D

Vassell showing why he's good.

I hate it when players like Wellens play dirty against other players. When he does things like the elbow in the head it can be jellow or red card with a dangerous freekick or a penelty. We can lose if he keeps that shit up.

He worked hard though.

5 points to playoff...... :scarf:

Hail the King for me. If there's one person you want arriving in space on the far post it is Kingy. You just never doubt he'll do the least necessary to hit the target.

He arrives so late if he was a train everyone would have gone home. And that's what happens with defenders. They leave him for a split second and he makes em weep.

Fabulous second half performance because we closed em down early and didn't let em constuct anything. Howard and Gallagher had marvellous chances but a special word for Weale who, for me made two absolutely vital saves, the first in blocking Earnshaw and secondly when he reacted so well to turn that piledriver over the bar.

He's had some stick of late and rightly so. But tonight he was back at his best with two of his best saves of the season.

First half Forest looked potentially dangerous down the flanks but Sven cut out any lines of supply after the break and delivered what was an excellent all-round team effort from a side that, at last, seems to be showing some stability and co-ordination, at least in the second half.

It's an important three points that and, for me, thoroughly deserved.

As for the referee. Outside the box he was fine but ours was a blatant penalties. What happens to referees eyes once the ball goes in the box. Fortunately it didn't affect the outcome of the game but I'm really not aware of different rules applying in different parts of the pitch.

Never mind. Kingy earns us three more points, Vassell gets a vital assist, the clean sheet looks like one we can build on and, at last we're genuinely looking upwards.

Happy days again!.

Agree with all of that apart from the two blatant penalties. Ours was yes, theirs? Never.

And i'm not being biased. :D
