martyn Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 I'm loving Yuki at the moment, keeps everything so simple, 1 touch with both feet and gets about the pitch like a demon. Thought it was a very comfortable day at the office.
Jackirius Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 Was a decent performance, i would say we pretty much dominated possession and the speed of the game. Midfield looked good and defence solid through the middle with Naughton and Cunningham looking a bit shaky at times, i think Vassell has alot more in him and Bednar looked promising. Looking good though
FrankieADZ Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 good result tonight, We looked so in control it was scary....as we dont normally look so calm and relaxed.....or maybe its me when im there
StanSP Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 Ian Stringer read out my tweet . So happy with the performance tonight by the lads. Don't think enough words can describe how I feel right now!
ScouseFox Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 Agree Yuki mopped everything up today, did McGugan even play?
Thracian Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 Agree with all of that apart from the two blatant penalties. Ours was yes, theirs? Never. And i'm not being biased. You obviously had the better view and I'm more than happy to agree with you.
Salieri Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 You obviously had the better view and I'm more than happy to agree with you. I wasn't there but the numerous Sky TV camera angles suggested that theirs was never a pen.
MPH Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 this just seems like the right time to play this....
sdb Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 Abe's pass completion rate must have been 90% + Weale perhaps benefited from late call up & fewer nerves, looked solid word of warning, we keep winning games and then getting a little complacent the following game - let's not do it this time, we're playing catch up!
Salieri Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 What an important player Andy King is for us, just has the knack of popping up with crucial goals out of nowhere. Love the guy, we're lucky to have him.

Love the guy, we're lucky to have him. you'd of thought other teams would of worked this out by now.... surely its a no brainer, if you want to stop City you stop Andy King?
AmyLGK Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 My other half HATES Wellens....He supports Newcastle! HA! I kept trying to explain how amazing he is and that he'll run his socks off even when he can't use a leg...! he didn't see it...!
jonah Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 some of the forest fans on there forums are saying that it was our cup final???.....i dont think so really, on that display they be lucky to get passed the 3rd round!
MrSpaM Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 you'd of thought other teams would of worked this out by now.... surely its a no brainer, if you want to stop City you stop Andy King? Theirs no stopping what can't be stopped...

" oh it wasnt that important to us but it was to them" yeah right. thats only because they lost.
scott_gunnell Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 To be serious - that was a master chess tactician at work, I'm so impressed with the way Sven approached the game and how he ensured the win. Good observation my friend. Svens tactics here was typical of his tactics he used with England. Sven was always critized in the press for not beating teams by more goals with England. However, today, passing the ball back a lot in the first part of the game, back 4 tight, winning by 1-0 is 3 points and thats whats counts for you Leicester fans. Notts where not that easy to break down at first becasue I felt they closed us down well for a while. Great to see the fans singing Svens name. As a Sven fan i have heard a lot of horrible things said about him like "lucky manager" and "Hows does this man keep getting job". ballshit. ------ SVEN SUPPORTER
MikeyT Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 Another 3 points, another clean sheet, and edging slowly but surely up the table. Looking good at the moment. Oh and find it funny how Forest goalkeeper jersey read "Camp 1" :sge:
Haydos Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 First time I've seen us properly since the Cardiff game. After the first 20 or so I felt we took charge, Adebola coming of didn't hinder us, whether this was one of the reasons we started to boss it i'm not sure. We looked a bit anxious at first and first touches went astray (Bednar) but after the substitution I was thoroughly impressed. There were few negatives really, a lot of the balls played forward were a bit hopeful/hopeless, players didn't quite click at times but that was about it today. Focusing on the positives... Defence didn't worry me like it usually does when I watch/listen. Their forwards never really looked like troubling Hobbs and Davies and their best chance came from our mistake (pretty sure Davies couldn't see Earnshaw behing Hobbs). Cunningham looked confident and assured in defence and when playing the ball and Naughton was solid apart from a bit of ball watching at the far post in the first half. Abe looked sharp, getting vital touches all over the place, passing wasn't bad either, almost always saw the pass before he received it. Wellens for me took control of the midfield tonight and kept the passing simple going forward and positioning was great when we were being countered. Kingy as ever, popping up in situations where it matters most, not only for his goal, but could have had one or two more with the Bednar knock down and the curler that teased the far post. The front three did look dangerous at times, not so much with the potency which we require but with their link up play. I'd like to know what others thought of Gally's performance because I thought he was a stand out tonight. I seemed to catch him on the ball most when we were moving into the final third and thought his hold up and distribution was class, a lot of short, simple balls that kept the team moving forward. Bednar's another who I thought looked dangerous once he got going. Obviously not quite up to scratch but his first touch often bought him a lot of time once he got his eye in, feeding a lot of balls off to the midfield and wide men. Finally Vassell who to be honest I thought had an average game. Worried their back line with his presence and runs but when he had the ball at his feet he looked a bit clueless at times. I know his persistence was good to set King up but he had a bit of luck there and i'd like to see him a bit more, very troublesome. I felt the subs came on at the right times and they did what was needed, Howard held up and flicked on well when Bedanr looked a bit fatigued and Dyer didn't really get much of a chance to drive inside their full back. We saw out the game well and tactically, spot on Sven Apologies for the essay, don't get to see the boys live to often.
Corky Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 some of the forest fans on there forums are saying that it was our cup final??? Two cup final victories in 9 months? I'll take that.
phillthefox Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 totally awesome win, game wasnt the best and weather was shocking, Yuki abe and wellens for me outstanding all night, Bednar looked good with vassell and gallagher running off, superb result boys.
kylecoare Posted 29 November 2010 Posted 29 November 2010 another great result. Kingy scoring again, should have had a few more!!
