STEVIE B Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Has to RICHIE WELLENS.Most of our play involves him, opponents play is stopped by him.He never stops running.I'll have a pint of whatever he drinks ! Arise Sir RICHIE.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Has to RICHIE WELLENS.Most of our play involves him, opponents play is stopped by him.He never stops running.I'll have a pint of whatever he drinks ! Arise Sir RICHIE. Yep gotta say Richie WELLENS for me also with possibly Andy KING second and Kyle NAUGHTON 3rd
BedsFox Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 King by a long way. Not that Wellens hasn't been superb but those 10 goals make a world of difference to our league position
Wymsey Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 King/Wellens = Both great assets at moment, but King hasn't been performing to his best over the last few games. Underperformed = Vassell/Hobbs.
Stevosevic Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 King King/Wellens = Both great assets at moment, but King hasn't been performing to his best over the last few games. Underperformed = Vassell/Hobbs. Very harsh.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Vassell hasnt been bad at all IMO, in fact considering he was unfit to start with i think he has really improved us the fitter he has got
Jackirius Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Wellens, King and i even think Naughton has been one of our best players this season, but those are only based on the games I have seen.
shailen Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Wellens, abe king All consistently good throughout the season, and have been exceptionally good since sousa left
cc_star Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Everything comes through Wellens so it's hard to argue with and would be my pick so far. Goal scorers get all the glory though so Kingy's a good shout, I just think he's absent when he's not scoring. Naughton for young player of the year
Fox1651 Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Yep gotta say Richie WELLENS for me also with possibly Andy KING second and Kyle NAUGHTON 3rd I would agree with the above, they have been our 3 most consistent players IMO but with WELLENS clearly in front
Fox1651 Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Vassell hasnt been bad at all IMO, in fact considering he was unfit to start with i think he has really improved us the fitter he has got That doesnt make sense? or does it? Agree in principle though VASSELL has been good and definately has improved us
Thracian Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Andy King - 11 goals and four assists and so many of them absolutely vital to our cause like the one at Bramall Lane. Without King we wouldn't have a season to be getting excited about now. And that's quite apart from countless other contributions and not to mention his captaincy and near ever-present record...again!
Sparky Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Wellens for me, pulls all the strings and improved no end under Sven. King has a fantastic knack of being in the right place at the right time but just plumped for Richie as King can on occasion go missing in games.
Darkon84 Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Paulo Sousa, because if he wasnt so bad at the start of the season, we wouldnt have the wonderful Sven and be looking so good at the moment. I doth my cap to thee, Mr Sousa, thank you.
shen Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 I would've thought that Gallagher would get a mention or two. Observing from afar, I'd probably say King for the reasons BedsFox and Thracian point out.
Kitchandro Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 I think it has to be between King and Wellens too. I think King just edges it for me because he's our top scorer and his all round game has improved this season.
Corky Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 King, scored goals from the start and we'd be worse off without him in the side.
Tewy5 Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Got to be wellens great player always performs for the mighty city
Joe. Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 Wellens or King quite comfortably. King for his ten goals in the league which have bailed us out on occasions this season, and Wellens for being instrumental all year in the middle. Tough to pick between those two.
Stevosevic Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 King's goals: 3-2 Palace (1) Didn't mean anything in the end 1-1 Coventry (1) - 1 point 2-1 Cardiff (2) - 3 points 1-1 Hull (1) - 1 point 2-0 Barnsley (1) - sealed the match 2-0 Derby (1) - match winner, 3 points 1-0 Forest (1) - match winner, 3 points 2-2 Leeds (1) - equaliser, 1 point 1-0 Sheff Utd (1) - match winner, 3 points I know it's not as simple as that, but King has wrapped up 18 points for us there by scoring key goals.
blueredswed Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 As I have not been here so long I must say Bamba... he has not been here so long either, but I think he gonna be after the season. But Wellens looking good. Soo who knows? Perhaps the whole team (one for one and all for the team)!
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 3 February 2011 Posted 3 February 2011 King just ahead of Wellens. Wellens ahs been superb and creates just about everything, but would to see him score a few more, then he would get player of the season for me.
