davieG Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 With the number of these games being organised I'll be very disappointed if they don't have a proper league/fixture list next year and I really don't see why the can't consider the return of FNF in some form and location.
STUHILL Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 Hopefully Waghorn plays. People always going on about he needs a chance, well go score a hattrick today and force your way in to Sven's plans!!

Marmite Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 I would love Family Night Football to come back, I have 2 little ones who I want to get into football and that would be ideal to take them and get them use to it before introducing them to a stadium full of 23,000 people

Guest Basildon Fox Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 I used to love FNF, cheap night if nothing was on the telly Yes. I remember in the early 90's about 15k turned up in a game against Man Utd. Cracking evening and they won 4-1.
SeCrEt FoX Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 Yes. I remember in the early 90's about 15k turned up in a game against Man Utd. Cracking evening and they won 4-1. FNF was great i used to always go. The Cheerleaders was awesome . It was the first time i ever went to a game and i was completely hooked from there on. Surely it would bring in extra revenue for the club? They used to fill the Carling stand. I would love to take my kids.Is there anything we can do to make this happen again?

davieG Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 Southampton OS Under-21s Out-Foxed Posted on: Wed 09 Feb 2011The Under-21s went down to a narrow 1-0 defeat at Leicester City on Wednesday afternoon. Martin Hunter's young side were given a tough test by a Foxes side which contained no fewer than eight internationals in their line up including recent Portugese goalkeeping recruit Ricardo. But Saints, who were on the wrong end of a 5-1 drubbing by an inexperienced Bristol City team last week, gave a much improved performance more akin to sort of display that Hunter has asked of his side. The visitors were undone just before the half time interval as Leicester capitalised on an error to steal in to take a lead going into the break. Saints made in-roads in the second half with winger Lloyd Isgrove hitting the underside of the crossbar, and Sam Hoskins probing his way through with some telling crosses on either side, but the home side held out to record a single goal victory. Under-21s coach Hunter praised his players for putting in the sort of performance that was missing at Bristol. "I was delighted with the team work and ethic from start to finish which was pleasing against a very experienced Leicester side," he enthused. "We were at fault for the goal, but we lost the game on our error rather than through their expansive play, so it was chalk and cheese from the trip to Bristol City last week. "There is pressure now for places, and all players are playing for new contracts so performance-wise this is a step in the right direction." Saints Under-21s: Trialist, Argent (Young), Racine, Tafazolli, Reeves, Gobern (Moore), Dean, Holder-Spooner (Garrod), Isgrove (Curtis), McNish, Hoskins. Subs (not used): Mowthorpe, Foot.
hackneyfox Posted 9 February 2011 Posted 9 February 2011 Doesn't sound like a great result or performance.
