Derby v Leicester - Post Match Thread

we showed how to attack in the 1st half and how to defend in the 2nd (although we sat back way too much imo)

good win, vital 3 points, on to the next game :scarf:

First half blew them away, second half scrapped and limited a much more direct Derby to next to nothing. Nice to see both facets of the game working well.

Van Aanholt MOTM for me, Ben Mee good again. Ricardo not particularly convincing I must say, unless he is playing football with the back 4.

Monumental win. Superb. We were sensational first half, the immensely professional second half. Never looked like conceding, even with the below par, shaky Ricardo in goal.

Both goals were terrific, one an individual effort, one a magnificent team goal.

Only 2 points dropped in 2011, Premier League, here we come.

Anyone else think that Ricardo looked shit?

Very good win on the whole though and we've kept pace with the teams above us who all, unfortunately, won.

Again we were in 2nd gear all game. In fact I'd say we were in 1st gear in the second half.

We took the piss basically, the 2 goals were beaut.

Only negative was Ricardo, he looked very shaky and I'll be worried if we play a decent team. Bring Weale back.

Great win :scarf:

good win but I dont understand the obsession of replacing weale with worser keepers. We were lucky we were against derby today. A good side would have scored against us.

 Is this the norm for any new player coming in to replace a fans favourite? First Mee, then PVA, and now Ricardo. He was abit shaky but no more so than Weale has been in the past. Mee and PVA have proven the right decision, if Ricardo isn't up to it Sven will sort it out. :worship:

Ricardo didn't impress me, certainly not to warrant a place ahead of Weale. Didn't have a save to make all game though thankfully. Fine performance all round. Did all we needed to do in the first half. Splendid. Nice to kill a team off away from home with a second goal for once. :D

Ricardo may have looked shaky but he may as well not turned up today, the scoreline would have been the same.

good win tonight against a poor Derby team, but still we did the job, which Im pleased about. only thing that annoys me is the way we seem to almost hold back in the 2nd half.

least keep it up ;):scarf:

Mee and Bamba never gave the derby forwards a sniff tonight, brilliant from both.

What a great performance

we had everything, played like Arsenal/Barca in the first half

2 cracking goals, as special as the first one was, I loved the second

Derby turned up in the 2nd half & put some effort in, but we more than matched them even when the game turned scrappy.

One problem I have, is that Ricardo looks like the biggest liability I've ever seen. He had very, very, very little to do (in fact I don't think a Keeper has had so little to do over 90mins) but he was asked to do a couple of things and fluffed them massivley, punching, coming halfway & getting stook in no mans, his kicking was absolutely awful, I don't think a single clearence cleared our CB/their forward.

Shouldn't detract from a great team performance though, the lads were brilliant. really properly awesome - and on TV scarf.gif

Great performance, Game was won in the 1st half, 2nd half was abit boring really.

Shame we can't get into the playoffs even next week should we win but that is out of our hands all we can do and need to do next week is win, apart from that we can't affect.

Bamba is even more of a hero after that lump on his forehead.

Very proud, but let's keep focus, move onto the next game.

It's just an observation. Sven seems desperate to replace Weale and none of the ones he's brought in have looked any good.

The thing is I've seen Ricardo play plenty of times and he's always been like that, unlike Van Aanholt and Mee.
