hackneyfox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 No, far too sensible. Still Sven may be looking to bring in another player on loan so we can look forward to more low key hysteria as some buggers favourite gets dropped and they have to to remove the poster from their bedroom wall.
davieG Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Jesus christ why is this thread even still going. It is clear that some people think Ricardo is the better keeper and could not have done anything about the goal ... others think he is a flapping tool that had a howler. We're never gonna agree on it. Much bigger things to focus on so for fook sake forget about it, move on and look to the playoffs .. I don't think he's better or worse, he's different. He offers a style that Weale doesn't, Weale offers a style that Ricardo doesn't . Sven prefers the Ricardo style because it fits his game plan. This applies to many of Svens choices over last years favourites. As we all know the strength of a team is dependent not only on individual skills but the blending of the relevant skills to make the sum stronger than the parts, that may require, due to limited available options a 'weaker' player but one who has the necessary skills to blend in with the team.
Larry_LCFC Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Where did Bamba defend Ricardo? Radio leicester after the game. Stringer asked him about the crowd reactions etc towards recardo and the tension
hackneyfox Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Sven has mentioned it as well so it clearly upsets the team when some of the moronic fans start booing or chanting for Weale. But apparently they are just showing their support for the team.
Legend_in_blue Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 No one has mentioned Bruma's positioning in the scoring of Cov's goal. Least I haven't seen any. Up until the point where the goal was conceded, Bruma was all over the place and couldn't handle the physicality of Marlon King at all. I think the general uneasiness and uncertainty along the back line only made things worse in the scoring of Cov's goal. The end result of that was an error made out of poor communication and not commanding the box. Both the back line and the GK have shared responsibility of this and not one of them did anything about it in the early stages of the game. This cost us. The mistake was Sven's for making changes for changes sake.
SMX11 Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 Ian Stringer has a vendetta against these loan signings that have replaced his favourities i.e. Berner, Weale etc and it is really getting on my nerves. Luckily I won't be hearing him on saturday, he has become a right whinging ****.
Corky Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 I was surprised that Mee was dropped, he seemed comfortable in the main next to Bamba, and being naturally left-footed didn't look awkward in the left CB position.
Raj Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 I also blame him for all the shit going in the Middle East. AND for the fact that Yuki is still eating dogs according to many a fan!!!

The mistake was Sven's for making changes for changes sake. This cost us a few points in this game. Why can't people get the big picture. Sven wanted the players up in the field and that means that the defence were going one on one against Marlon King for example. Question yourself - Why does Sven want the players to play that way? I reckon the game went on repeat when sven shows what the players should do in a special situation.

Bettsj2 Posted 1 March 2011 Posted 1 March 2011 I was surprised that Mee was dropped, he seemed comfortable in the main next to Bamba, and being naturally left-footed didn't look awkward in the left CB position. Cov have big physical strikers so we played 2 big physical centre backs. If Mee had of played he'd have been battered a bit like he was on his debut against Millwall. Tactical decisions are neccessary and this is where the squad ethic comes to the fore.

Luckily I won't be hearing him on saturday, he has become a right whinging ****. Can't stand the bloke and this is one of the reasons. He was the same when Fryatt left constantly banging on about him game after game with comments like "we're struggling to convert chances, why don't we bring on Fryatt... oh yeah he's been sold to Hull" blah blah blah.
muzzy1981 Posted 3 March 2011 Posted 3 March 2011 Can we please get behind whoever is on the pitch!!! http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport/football/3436081/Leicester-1-Coventry-1.html If not for Ricardo do it for Sol, it makes his job a lot easier!!!

Well said! I'm sure we'll get behind whoever is in goal on Saturday as the fans who go away matches normally get fully behind the team, I would prefer weale to start but part of me wants Ricardo to start have a blinder and save a last minute penalty on top!

Charl91 Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Wonder if anyone's changed their mind after the last game? Personally, I thought he had a pretty good game!
