GGBluebird Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Whats your thoughts on Chris Kirkland ? Is he any good ? Just signed on a season long loan to Cardiff. I noticed he played 3 games for you recently
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Abysmal and always injured.. coming with a good reputation. Also he is a Leicester fan through and through, so couldn't even play well for the team he supports. Anyway, good luck for the playoffs.
Matt Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 If your looking for consistency he's your man. ....consistently injured that is.
GGBluebird Posted 27 February 2011 Author Posted 27 February 2011 Playoffs ? Automatic we are looking for, and having the easiest run-in of all the top teams. I believe Cardiff will go up. I not fussed on your chances if you play like you did last Tuesday every week.I wasnt impressed with Leicester at all. Burley looked a far better team the week before and i see them going above you soon
CosbehFox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 He's not very good. Past it, made of glass.
NorthEastFox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 He doesn't play for lcfc. We are stuck with Ricardo now. Lets hope he comes good and proves he actually is better than Weale. So far I cant see that...hope I am wrong!

Petchy Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Couldn't really judge him whilst he was here as one appearance was in a snow storm.. and another, he got injured before half time. On his day he is a good goalkeeper, but I fear his day has come and gone due to all the injuries. If he does goes into your first XI, then I think you should still be aiming for playoffs only... you're going to concede some soft goals.
Bugg Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Isn't he a Cov Fan? No, he's a Liverpool fan. i.e. he's done the typical going to Liverpool and using the "lifelong fan" excuse.
J.Lisemore Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Not a fan of that David Marshall, but is he injured or something? or just completely out of favour?
Mack Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Chris Kirkland makes Ricardo look like Gordon Banks! Thanks for reminding us how much worse it could be.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Worst keper we had here this season. I'd even put Ikeme in front of him, least he was actually always fit.
Guest NGoloMode Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Chris Weale is a better keeper than Kirkland

Steven Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Kirkland is not flexible enough to be a top class keeper. His back restricts his movement so he cannot get down for the ball as quickly as he should. If Kirkland were to tell me that is not the case, then he is not good enough any more.

MPH Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 clever move by sven.... not re-newing the loan and letting him go to a promotion rival.....
Finnegan Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Alright Bluebird. He's clearly a tidy goalkeeper, he has been for years and you don't become shit overnight. There's a culture amongst Leicester fans recently to be bitter about anyone who dares take Weale's place. To be fair, Kirkland wasn't impressive here but he's hugely lacking in game time and he's the most ridiculously fragile player in history. A goalkeeper with a recurring back complaint? As someone said earlier in the thread "good luck with that." He's a tidy loanee if you can keep him fit but I'd be disappointed to see my team pay money for him. Oh, and face it - you've bottled it for the eight million time - the Jacks are going up auto and you're going to have to try scrapping it out in the play-offs again. Good luck with that.
SystonFox Posted 27 February 2011 Posted 27 February 2011 Well summed up zozban. They've bottled it and they "knows it - LUSH"
