McClaren said: “We want to bring in the players that will help us make that vital step to promotion to the Premier League.” What the????? Leicester City are the championship club who has been making the bids, right?
Stevosevic Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 What the????? Leicester City are the championship club who has been making the bids, right? Yes.
Happy Fox Posted 6 July 2011 Author Posted 6 July 2011 Are the mirror plain stupid we had a 4m offer rejected
Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Red top paper in printing absolute bollocks shocker.
wayne76 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Muzzy and Lennon didn't earn 30k until Taylor took over, that was back in 2000/1 when we handed out stupid contracts. Luka Modric currently earns £45k a week, are you seriously suggesting that he earns twice as much as average championship player Richie Wellens? I'd suggest you have a word with yourself if you think that we are paying those sort of wages to very average players. martin oneil put them on the big bucks my son!!! modric is 25 and knows he can get £100,000 a week at chelsea hence wanting to leave spurs so whats your point? average wage for an established footballer is £15,000-£20,000 a week prem -champ so like i said have a word with yourself times have changed my son
Wymsey Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Sol Bamba earns2k a week, he is an international footballer (admittedly for a minor nation) in what world would Richie Wellens, a 31 year old ex Doncaster player earn 12 times as much? A load of bullshit that is. Remember one of the top sales people at the club telling my Father he's on more than £6k!
wurmer Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Bored of the bollocks being posted - nobody knows what's going on - will wait for the OS and go and do something constructive instead, it's twisting my melon....

So your saying he's committing perjury? That's a serious crime, you should inform the mother of his child. Why would someone in sales know the salary of Sol Bamba?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 jumpin jack flash this thread is getting thread bare of any new news
Itsthejoeker Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 I DON'T CARE WHAT BAMBA OR MUZZY WERE ON!! THE THREAD TITLE IS 'Nicky Maynard'!!!!
Stevosevic Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Lennon became Leicester's best paid player in summer 1999 - £20k a week http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/842586.stm No player at Leicester hit 30K until Taylor took over and needed to tie down our best players - even then it was only Muzzy, Lennon and Elliott. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/l/leicester_city/871642.stm - 10k pay rise Now that is settled, can we please get back on track and talk Maynard.
That lad from Japan Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Now im not claiming to be in the know like bert is or a few others on here but I have maaged to gleam some info from a few sources, whether its true or not is a different matter. We've now had 3 bids rejected and the latest one had a total value of around 3.98million plus a small sell on percentage of around 5%. NM is Svens number1 target for the summer but it wont get in the way of deals for other players. They are willing to spend just over 5million on Maynard before they give up and look elsewhere as theyre not prepared to offer players in the deal. The board still wants a big name signing over the summer and are prepared to spend anything that is needed. They have massive hope over the NM transfer as the replies from BCFC seem more and more desperate each time and it appears they are close to cracking so a fourth bid will go in tomorrow. They are not aware of any other clubs being as strongly interested. Thats as i understand it but dont take it as gospel as nobody really knows although if you read Sexstones comments they are getting vaguer and appear to be desparate
Wymsey Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 So your saying he's committing perjury? That's a serious crime, you should inform the mother of his child. Why would someone in sales know the salary of Sol Bamba? I'm only commenting on the salary argument Sol is on. My Father was part the consortium with this chap who worked (not now) on the sales side of lcfc whilst we were in administration. (Sorry to the others for fvcking up the thread, but this thread was already going at a tangent anyway.. ) On topic........just a matter of being patient.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Not me. what Reazon do you have for that opinion? dont you support some small country bumpkin team?
Guest Bilo Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 Sven isn't taking no for an answer on this one. I'm more optimistic than I was a couple of days ago, put it that way.
jonw88 Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 So, who thinks Maynard will sign for us then? Who's Nicky Maynard?
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 What the fuck has this thread become? a long one
rico Posted 6 July 2011 Posted 6 July 2011 would rather we spent £5 mil on someone else, just can't get excited by this
