JoeyB Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I dont belive that would happen you know. rather him not come to be honest, you can say that you believe it may not happen, but you know what Leicester fans are like, they'll jump on peoples backs straight away!!!
sdb Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 My mate from school love to see him again doing the bizz in a blue shirt Lucky!!!!!
ScouseFox Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I genuinely don't see how he'd be bad enough for people to turn on him. Granted they would if he was shit, but he's clearly better than this division, so I don't see that being an issue.
FuriousFox46 Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 I'd love him back. His goal scoring record isn't great. I'd sooner have the Yak seeing as his ratio from last year would see him get 25 goals next season assuming he could perform at a similar level. Which is a big if.
Guest MattP Posted 17 July 2011 Posted 17 July 2011 Injury prone well past 30 year old who has scored about 10 goals in four seasons. If his name wasnt Heskey we wouldnt even consider it. No thanks. The sad thing was he was wonderful when he burst onto the scene for us, then managers decided instead of asking to express himself they would convince him he was the battering ram to play off someone, would of loved to have seen a manager keep telling him how good he was and he wanted more shots/goals and direct runs at the defenders just like he did here and his first season at L'Pool.
Fox92 Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 People do critisize him about his goal ratio and all that, but, in my opinion, he holds the ball up better than any other player in the Premier League. He is strong, still got some pace, good in the air, holds the ball up well. I'd take him back if we weren't paying an over the top transfer fee or too much wages.
paddy Agyemang Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Look at his performance against USA in the world cup I thought MOTM
sdb Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 He was, imo. Amazing how quickly it was forgotten, or simply ignored, by England 'fans'.
Finchy Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 He was, imo. Amazing how quickly it was forgotten, or simply ignored, by England 'fans'. People went into that world cup wanting him to fail, he was actually one of our best players, it wasn't hard, but still. People still acted like he single-handedly ruined the team.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 The people who dont want Heskey back dont seem to realise that he wont be playing at such a good level like he is now, so looking at his scoring ratio is a bit unfair. He would be quality at championship level, and I think he would score quite a few too.
Corky Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 Don't want Heskey he doesn't score enough. Don't want Yakubu he scores too much. I love Leicester fans. Pretty much
jimmer Posted 18 July 2011 Posted 18 July 2011 I still think he is a great player and would do well in the championship, but I would much prefer to keep the good memories of a young promising Heskey in his prime, than to see him come back and get booed by the ****** if things didn't go to plan. Yakubu and Maynard would be formidable for me.
