Alexikokopops Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 It's a big mess considering one of the best young players in the world in Thiago is rumoured to be moving to Man Utd for £15 million. Why should English players be worth so much more than Spanish? We're rubbish at international football, apart from Rooney they're all average at best and foreigners in their teams make them look better than they are. I'd go as far as saying an all English Premier league team wouldn't get top half in the Premier league. The England U-21's haven't got a clue either, yet theres players in there rated at £20 million. Fabregas is worth 1.5 Jordan Hendersons if you look at the price Barcelona are looking to get him for. Measuring signings in terms of "Jordan Hendersons" is the only real way to do it.
Wherethefoxhat? Posted 28 June 2011 Posted 28 June 2011 Giggs barely plays on the wing these days really. Fergie likes to rotate also, can see him playing on the wing of a 4-4-2 or perhaps around Rooney in a 4-5-1/4-3-3. Not every game .......he only plays away !!
millzi Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Not every game .......he only plays away !! TAXIIIIIIIIIIIIIII!
ScouseFox Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Connor Wickham looking like a done deal. Reportedly £9,000,000 initially, with add ons. And we were all praising Steve Bruce's business sense a few weeks ago.

RedHux Posted 29 June 2011 Posted 29 June 2011 Just about, he has left a rather big space on our bench that'll need filling. Amused that Hull's becoming our retirement home and Direby seem to be after our cast offs though More concerned that we'll have no players left soon.
Nick Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 How many old, broken men can you fit under an umbrella? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13947213.stm

Guest Bilo Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Replace the words 'Steve McClaren' with 'Micky Adams' and that article sounds remarkably like Leicester City circa 2003/2004.

Nick Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 Sounds like Billy Davies circa last year too. Just defect. We know you like it better here anyway. It'll be like coming out of the closet all over again. The sense of relief will be like what lcfcstu feels when he stabs a dyslexic.
RedHux Posted 30 June 2011 Posted 30 June 2011 I would but I've my suspicions that this place is run by a highly secretive Welsh nationalist cabal and I'm not sure I could reconcile myself with this New Welsh Order.
