Father Ted Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I have heard from a source who has been previously reliable before and he has claimed that Sven is looking at Earnshaw unfortunately. He also mentioned Nicky Maynard and that Huddlestone had met with Sven. He also claimed that several players have been told they have no future at the club. You can probably guess who but Waghorn is the surprise on that list Take it as you will.
The Padster Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Earnshaw unfortunately. You what? For as much as he looks like something from Star Trek he knows exactly where the net is. Happily have him here.
ScouseFox Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Earnshaw, yes please Waghorn maybe leaving is a surprise? Where have you been all season?

jonthefox Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Dont like the ugly koont, but i guess he knows where the goal is. That said , i cant see forest selling.
Jimmy Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Earnsdhaw is probably the best pure finisher in the Championship, useless in the prem mind but he'll go a long way towards getting us there
Finnegan Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Pretty much everyone on this forum that's been a member for more than a couple of years knows I'd probably actually blow my wod if Earnie ever signed for us. But he's not exactly in his prime any more and I'd be dubious if we paid more than a couple of mil. Still, he'll do a job for the next season or two and I guess it's short-term impact that the board want. So probably a good signing, he'll certainly be around the 15/17 mark next year again I guess. Edit: Or not, less than McGugan this year!? Eh, like I said! Past his prime.

On a free i believe. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong but i think his contract is up.
ScouseFox Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 he's soooooooo annoying Only when he's on the other team, he'd be annoying everyone else if he played for us
Finnegan Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 useless in the prem mind but he'll go a long way towards getting us there Not at all true. Despite being hugely unfavoured by Robson and having to make do largely with substitute appearances, he scored more than West Brom's entire strike force combined the year he was in the Prem with them. He scored more goals per minutes on the pitch than anyone except Thierry Henry. Fact. Around about that time, when I was properly bumming him, he was a massively underrated little striker. Just not particularly popular anywhere he went, even in the national camp - off field ego problems maybe, dunno. On a free i believe. Feel free to correct me if i am wrong but i think his contract is up. Oh right, well in that case bargain. Would take Earnie over Marlon King any day.
The People's Hero Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I thought you might have climaxed when you saw this thread, my little saucepan.
StanSP Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Earnshaw > Marlon King all the way. How old is the Welshman? I've always seen him as a threat (not just because of his ugliness) whenever he plays us. He's perfectly suited for this league and despite being from Forest, I wouldn't mind that and would welcome him here.
Ozwin Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I can't stand the little runt. He's practically played for every team in the bloody Midlands except us too.
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Why would there be talk already about Earnshaw considering he is still at Forest who have a chance of Premier footie next year??
Finnegan Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I thought you might have climaxed when you saw this thread, my little saucepan. You know me so well, oh captain my captain. Earnshaw > Marlon King all the way. How old is the Welshman? I've always seen him as a threat (not just because of his ugliness) whenever he plays us. He's perfectly suited for this league and despite being from Forest, I wouldn't mind that and would welcome him here. He's 30. And has definitely lost pace in the last couple of years.
Finnegan Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I'd rather we didn't, to be honest. Same. I wanted him here so badly four or so years ago. Now it'd just be like a disappointment waiting to happen. I reckon we could do better, sincerely.

Finnegan Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 I'm sorry Earn'. If the video of his first goal vs Germany was still on youtube I'd post it to make it up to him.
Jackirius Posted 9 May 2011 Posted 9 May 2011 Svens plan is just to buy up every championship striker so no-one can score against us. This guy's a genius.
