Rumours our end are suggesting he's signed a new contract.

It is however merely rumours and therefore probably not terribly reliable. ;)

Earnshaw is mentioned in this article

Leicester City boss Sven Goran Eriksson to preparing a £2million offer to lure Kasper Schmeichel from Leeds United.

Eriksson worked with the highly-rated keeper at Manchester City and is keen for a reunion after he impressed last season.

Leeds will not want to lose him, but a big offer may change their minds.

Eriksson is also eyeing Rob Earnshaw who can leave neighbours Notts Forest on a free.

Says he wants to stay with Forest but he's aware of other interest etc. in an interview on SSN. Make of that what you will.

I'd probably make of it that he wants to stay at Forest but is aware of other interest.

His best days are behind him, but whoever he plays for next season he'll still score against us. One of those players that needs service to score goals, and will do nothing else unless he gets it. Much like Yakubu last year.

Have some people taken leave of their senses by not wanting him here??

OK, the lad is about 27 to 28 (I think), so is not too old, must surely want one last crack at the big time and to establish himself as a Premiership striker and play for a club with a good chance of going up.. plus not having to move too far. He is a clinical finisher - something we clearly lacked last year - and has pace to burn. SIGN HIM UP.

He's 30.

I can not stand the annoying little shithead with his little flip and goals against us, but cant deny he scores and would probably be a good signing, however we do seem to have a habit of signing strikers and them proving a flop

Proven Championship goalscorer.

Get him in.

Scored less this season from up front than King has from midfield.

I think the longer I think about this the more I really don't want him to come here. I'd be gutted if he came and just flopped because it was far too late in the day. :(

Little chipmunked face ****!...would rather we went for kenny miller (who wants a move back to England) if Svens looking for that type of player

Nottingham Forest striker Rob Earnshaw says he is not certain if he will be at the City Ground next season, despite being offered a new deal.

Earnshaw, 30, who captains Wales against Scotland on Wednesday, is out of contract this summer and is being linked with a move north of the border.

"I'm obviously a free agent in the next month or so," Earnshaw said.

"I don't know what's going to happen. I don't know where I'm going to be playing next year."

He added: "Forest have been very good, to be fair. I still need to speak to Forest and still need to tie some things down."

The former Cardiff City, West Bromwich Albion and Norwich City striker has hit 45 goals in 113 appearances since signing for Forest from Derby for £2.65m in May 2008.

I know he hasnt had the best of seasons... but still... 45 in 113 appearances is an extremly good return... i'd still take that.

Yeah, definitely, and if we'd have been linked to him back in 2008 I'd have creamed all over the place.

But it's fairly obvious he isn't going to score another 45 goals in his next 113 appearances at this level.

My love for Earnie is widely known but really, unless he comes on a fairly minimal contract for 2 years at most then this really isn't that great business.

Not wanting him because he's at Forest. lol

Tell you what, bet you're the same ones who think our rivalries are currently awful.

Well this would definitely stir a few things up.

Just another positive really, I'd definitely take him on a free.
