Was losing to him when we were both playing as Leicester, he disconnected and I got a cheeky li'l win Nope it's not me. But unbelievably he is a good friend of mine. His Internet is shocking and he hasn't played since because he keeps being booted out of ea, he was talking to me on skype at at the time saying he was beating a guy called 'lcfcsimmsy' or something like that Edit: my psn is 'feeed-the-yak' if anyone fancies a bash on ps3

But I'm not gonna complain about the 3 points EA servers are a pile of shit. I've not even played a game on UT yet as I know it'll just disconnect me, pushing up my DNF% and waste player contracts.
Anorak Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 I played a city vs city game as well, drew 1-1. Must be a lot of city fans who like their fifa. Doesn't hurt that we're pretty useful on it, tried a few 4 star teams who i didn't find nearly as good to play with.
Haydos Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Still finding playing the computer just isn't fun. On professional it's fine but as soon as I stick it on world class they just don't lose the ball and are able to dribble straight through your players.

HEGGSY Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Those finding it hard to defend, swap the 'B' tackle with the 'RB' pressure... much easier trust me! Lost my first two online when using an attacking Man City with the original control layout. Since changing it, I haven't lost in 8 games. I feel pretty confident with the defending now, even so to play a formation ideal for counter attacking after heavy pressure Cheers mate made defending alot easier

Yeah same, been trying to play the world class comps but can't win them yet. You've got to be so patient in possession and so clinical, fair enough it makes for great realism but this is a video game. I don't want to pass the ball across my back four, into midfield, back to the defence, back to midfield, back to defence and so on just to find an opening.

Haydos Posted 2 October 2011 Posted 2 October 2011 Beginning to get sick of single player. The AI is complete toss. Why do your players not intercept balls that roll practically to their feet? Computer players are never out of position and they just back off all the time. They'll only go for the tackle when you take a slightly hard touch and they're 99% sure to win it. They misplace maybe 3 or 4 passes a game. Despite beating them, Lleyton Orient players were doing skill moves perfectly on me all the time, repeatedly just reacting to most tackles and just walking through. It doesn't matter who you play, they all just pass it around like Barca, never giving the ball away, never playing any slightly risky passes. If you pressure them they just turn you again and again until they lose you or run back towards their own goal. Why when I block tackle them does the ball shoot 10 yards away and end with another one of their players but when I'm tackled the tackler wins the ball and it barely moves away from him. I've said before that playing against your mates is great fun but I'm starting to think I'm not even going to bother playing on Ultimate team or even carry on my career past pre-season. I might just be really awful but I can't do anything about it, you just can't win the ball. Load of shit.

smallpauldj Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 i agree with the comments about the comp players. i played on word class on fifa 11 and did well enough and the only think that pissed me off was milborrow im into october and in the bottom 3 which takes the biscuit. with most the best players in the league i love how the the ones the comp controls just wonder off to leave a guy free in the area. best ive seen so far was a long pass looked to be sailing out for a throw near the half way line, comp player slides plays the ball on the floor on the volley straight up the line to a unmarked player who scores i laughed at how unrealistic it is.
CKB Posted 3 October 2011 Posted 3 October 2011 Jesus H Christ i'm really struggling to defend half decent in this game! Just when i think i may have mastered it, it just goes all tits up.. I even put it back to legacy defending but that doesn't seem right either! Playing the AI is a mixed bag for me, some games i actually do see mistakes, etc (not many mind) but then other games the AI just seem unstoppable, literally unstoppable.. I haven't messed around with the sliders yet though so that might make for a more balanced consistent game offline As for online? i haven't even dared to brave it on there yet!

Is there no intuitive matchmaking system in this? I seem to repeatedly come up against people who are clearly immensely good at this who just destroy me. Do you not get matched against people who are doing equally shit/well?

Well the divisions are there to stop that. At the moment everyone will be a low division so your going to get put up against anyone good or bad but eventually the better people will move on to the better divisions, so you'll be put with people your own level. 6-2-1 is my record so far. Cant play with leicester on this game, its so hard to finish with them, so been playing 4-3-3 with man u, rooney bags al day

Granted I've only been playing against my house-mates but only play as Leicester - not failed to win a game yet.
