I do that if I'm getting hammered. I figure it's more entertaining for both of us than me just persisting to be rubbish. lol

Just pass small triangles around his striker with keeper, full back and centre back.

Wish it was that simple, when they are passing it between the back four and the goallie, it takes so long to get near them.

Is that not football? When I play my dad on it possession is one of his tactics if he gets an early goal. 2 later ones in my favour often end in a lot of cursing. You just have to close down and pressure.

If it was a real football match fair enough, it's a good tactic but it's so easy to keep the ball at the back on fifa, I think it's a pathetic thing to do. Even if I'm winning I'm always looking to score more.

I played a great (half) game last night. Was losing 4-1 with City to QPR at half time, Taarbat was having a blinder. Subbed Nugent/Beckford for Schlupp/Dyer. Dyer went on to score 4 goals and I won 5-4! Dyer is such a great sub to have (on the game that is)

The guy sent me a rude message afterwards.

I've more or less cracked the tackling on pro level yet its still very hard and i've been done a few times in the last minute.

On virtual pro i'm currently with Fortuna Dusseldorf and have been out for three months with cruciate ligament damage (booo) but have managed to rack up 10 goals so far in the season currently at December.

Top tip: Don't dive in on tackles, jockey and let them make the decision, its all about timing.

What teams are people using on this most then?

As far as the top teams go I tend to go for Bayern, mainly because Robben and Ribery are unstoppable. I also quite like Chelsea in a diamond formation with Essien at CDM and Mata CAM, makes them pretty hard to beat.

But the team i'm using most is definitely Anzhi Makhachkala, only 4 stars so you get put with teams like Rangers, then Eto'o just rips them to pieces.

Been playing 4-3-3 with man u. Solid defenders, fast wingers and decent goalkeeper. Then you just drive the ball forward with rooney. Record is 15-5-3 at the minute. Think im gonna look for another team though so might try anzhi out if it seems to work.

How do you upload the fan chants and music to ps3 ?

Put them on a memory stick, put that into the ps3, go to music bit, put the curser on the memory stick icon, press triangle, display all, copy the chants and put them in a playlist.

Anyone else playing Legendary? If so how ****ing good are they! They literally pass round you like your not there. Currently 15th after 23 games with Leicester :( Feel I might get sacked.

I think the game is really good, but I really hate playing online. To me it feels as if parts of the gameplay change completely. Whenever I play against the computer or against my mates my pass accuracy is usually over 80%. I've played four games online and I'm yet to get it over 75% at the end of a game. For some reason I end up having so many wayward passes and it's not because I play any differently against opponents online. I have a 12 mbit internet connection which runs absolutely fine so maybe I just have to get used to playing the game online. Not a big fan of it so far though. (You can probably tell that this is the first time I've ever bothered with online gaming)

Just played 4 games in a row as Inter in their home strip, the games were against Chelsea (blue strip), Barcelona (blue and red), Man City (dark blue) and France (dark blue).

Bit annoying.

Don't be too downhearted, I'm only on World class.

Played 15 - Won 3, drawn 2, lost 10. Bottom of the table.

I've been thrashed 6-1 away at Forest, beaten 3-0 at home by the Chavs and have just lost 6-0 at home to Barnsley in what is already a relegation six-pointer. My 3 wins came in 4 games, one of which was a 5-1 against Derby, so I thought we were 'gelling' and turning a corner. I was wrong.

I'm desperate for the board to sack me so I'm put out of my misery.

I've never been able to defend on any football games but it's harder to score than ever, I've tried changing the formation, personnel, I've bought a winger and striker, but it's still very frustrating, and quite boring tbh. I'm probably in the box once every 2 games and barely have possession. The tactical defending works fine at times but at others they don't fall for any of your pressing shit and they just skin you for pace because you're controlling slow as **** Mills or fatboy St.Ledger.

In short, I'm shit at this game.

Beginning to get sick of single player. The AI is complete toss.

Why do your players not intercept balls that roll practically to their feet?

Computer players are never out of position and they just back off all the time. They'll only go for the tackle when you take a slightly hard touch and they're 99% sure to win it.

They misplace maybe 3 or 4 passes a game.

Despite beating them, Lleyton Orient players were doing skill moves perfectly on me all the time, repeatedly just reacting to most tackles and just walking through.

It doesn't matter who you play, they all just pass it around like Barca, never giving the ball away, never playing any slightly risky passes. If you pressure them they just turn you again and again until they lose you or run back towards their own goal.

Why when I block tackle them does the ball shoot 10 yards away and end with another one of their players but when I'm tackled the tackler wins the ball and it barely moves away from him.

I've said before that playing against your mates is great fun but I'm starting to think I'm not even going to bother playing on Ultimate team or even carry on my career past pre-season. I might just be really awful but I can't do anything about it, you just can't win the ball. Load of shit.

Feel exactly the same mate, it's especially annoying when shit teams are passing it like Barca as you say. If it's just my mistakes that are costing me then fine but Swindon shouldn't be moving the ball that quickly and without mistakes. Then again I thought that about Fifa10, the minnows would always 'raise their game' against me and play amazing football, and they'd be much stronger than my players.

Attacking is even harder than defending for me. I don't like the idea that entertainment is sacrificed for 'realism'. Championship defences are just not that good in real life. It's no fun not being able to score or even get close enough with enough room to have a decent shot.

Skinning people is also nearly impossible, even with supposedly really fast players.

... why not just... dial it down to semi-pro and work your way up once you get comfortable with each difficulty? Like, yknow, any sensible person? :|

What's the point in not having fun? It's a game, you just paid a lot of money for it...

I've clocked defending. Or at least, I've gotten better to the point I don't see why people are moaning.

Just jockey back, hold the line and make them take you on. Second you pull yourself out of shape you get through-balled. I like it, it's trickier but more realistic. You can't just chase the ball.

Yeah, but the old way comes more natural to me after doing it since about Pro Evo 1. That's about ten years :(

It may be more realistic but I don't care. Formula One 2011 is more realistic than Burnout 2 but I bet you can guess which one I prefer playing.

EXACTLY! There is literally no point in the green button when defending yet I still constantly try to tackle with it. The only way i can tackle anyone at the minute is to run into them or slide.

The sliding tackle is also annoying as you don't go nearly far enough. I'm constantly sliding just to the side of players.

Really glad they have sorted the online play now.

I like the idea of this promotion/relegation and the cups, although, I keep on missing the window for them! The two things I hated about the last game 1. people quitting all the time and I mean all the time! 2. people always playing as Real Madrid.

They seemed to have cured that disease now and the game is actually enjoyable now.

Finally, as mentioned on here before play as Anzhi Mchaklalalalalala they rip apart everyone around them, not lost with them yet in about 5 games.

Online play on a Pro Ranked Match can be fun and it's much more equal and balanced than in FIFA 11.

I think it's difficult for everybody, there's no easy long balls into the box no more, and passing can be tricky at times.

Self-proclaimed ball wizards will also find it hard because dribbling and doing tricks ain't that productive any longer.

No one likes selfish wannabe-Messis when they're unable to pull off their moves.

On a sidenote, I'm playing in a Tournament right now and facing Midtjylland.

First I thought the commentators were mocking my style of play, until I found out the Danish side's got a player called Borring in the starting eleven. lol
