thybluefox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Why? Not a whole lotta difference between them and us as far as club size goes, we arguably have slightly more chance of being promoted this year, but Southampton will be the dark horse this season. It's also a shorter move I think?
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Why? Because after so many weeks/threads/pages he's become eternally pessimistic?
thybluefox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Because after so many weeks/threads/pages he's become eternally pessimistic? Haha, that too
bluearmyfox23 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 The same person who told me they were chasing him, again take it how you want but he has been correct so far! Ok thanks cheers for info
Happy Fox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 If he goes to Southampton it would be a kick in the bollocks, unless we sign i.e someone such as Keane
STUHILL Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 If they want to overpay for him, then they can. I'm with Sven and the club on this one. We put in a few bids we thought were realistic and they were rejected. We won't be held to ransom by overpaying for players. Saints obviously will if this is true. We will have other targets in mind, probably a list as long as Sven's bed notches line
Guest Basildon Fox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Southampton have some good players but are no where near good enough at the moment to challenge for promotion. They are good going forward but weak at the back. We have a better team and squad. For anyone who wants to dispute name me more than a couple of players good enough to get into our team. If we miss out on NM then it will be because we have ****ed about with the transfer and are opting not to bid again. I fail to see how they can compete with the chance to play in the Prem or wages.
escos Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Look, if he goes to Southampton then he does! We either don't value him as much as them or someone better has come up. Either way there is fook all anybody on here can do about it, who ever Sven chooses is down to him, so there is no point getting wound up or pissy about it.Let's just carry on supporting the club we all love whoever is playing for us!!

It's also a shorter move I think? I don't have a problem with him going there we've made our interest known with three bids and if Southampton want to pay well over the odds that's up to them. You might find Southampton wont see much of the money from Chamberlain you never no. I no who I would choose out of us and them though.

The Saints’ boss rates England under-21 striking prospect Rodriguez at about £5m and hopes the Clarets will sell him. The Turf Moor club sold Fox to Southampton on Thursday in a £1.8m deal.

Rodriguez is a quality striker, would be worried if i were a Burnley fan though. Howe is a great manager but theyve lost alot of quality this year. I hope they can complete this deal quickly . . . And then fook off, because Nicky Will be a fox
kingfox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Rodriguez only signed a new contract a couple of months ago
Happy Fox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Rodriguez only signed a new contract a couple of months ago Burnley are a selling club, they would probably accept a 5m fee

Danny Fox...14 career goals. Jay Rodriguez...24 career goals. I know nothing about either of them...am i missing something?
John Matrix Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Danny Fox...14 career goals. Jay Rodriguez...24 career goals. I know nothing about either of them...am i missing something? yes rodriguez was class last year, burnley youth and an england u21 international
Nocturnal Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 yes rodriguez was class last year, burnley youth and an england u21 international Cheers, I admit I know nothing of him..other than his wiki page
thybluefox Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Confused. If Southampton are actually after JR, and we're apparently going after Keane, this could all have backfired on Bristol when no prem clubs come in for NM and he doesn't want a new contract.
crazylegs1984 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 FourFourTomFourFourTom As I said they would a while back, Leicester have made a move for Robbie Keane & expect him to sign within 48 hours. Great signing. #LCFC

crazylegs1984 Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 hes got a few things right id say 75/25 buts its in the mail and mirror(showerofshit) paper aswell
Stevosevic Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 I think the Mirror has published alot of poor stories on us this summer, not accurate at all, i think. Think most of this speculation could just be guess work after Sven's comments this evening.
Jackirius Posted 11 August 2011 Posted 11 August 2011 Cheers, I admit I know nothing of him..other than his wiki page He is a very talented young striker, scored 4 on tuesday in the league cup i believe.

Great signing. #LCFC If this is true this would be an immense signing!!! People moan he is on the decline too old etc etc but check yourself bra... Its Robbie Keane to Leicester City. Form is temporary class is permanent. A season ago this wouldve been fairytale stuff. Forget 20 goal+ this is a 30 goal+ man right here. Its the championship not the premiership.

May not have been great the last couple of years but will surely tear the championship apart.
