David Nugent - Signed (BANG!)

I imagine, at home, Nugent will play in the middle of the front three.

Get Maynard in, and Mills, and a winger, then we are just about there.

I would say LB is now the only position that we need a signing for. I still think we'll sign a CB and/or a striker or winger as well though.

Would you rather have?

a) 26 year old England International with 1 cap and 1 goals for £0

or

b) 27 year old Scottish International with 1 cap and 0 goals for £3,250,000

I'm perfectly happy with this signing but I'm kinda assuming Nugent has suddenly been rushed through after the CMS rejection. Am I wrong?

I still think we lack a bit of class and mobility up top (i.e. Maynard), but this is a decent acquisition nonetheless. Good luck Davie.

Is it definitely 100% nailed on now ?

I'm thinking of having a celebratory glass of sweet sherry but I need to be absolutely certain before I do.

Another great signing, he has class about him, destroyed us the last few times he's played against us. Perfect compliment to an out and out scorer like the yak or maynard! Come on sven, get one of them in!

doesn't exactly tell the full story that - CMS's cap was a minute long sub apperance v brazil, nugent's was a game v andorra in which he scored a tap-in in the way you'd call being a goal-thief in primary school football (getting to the line so you could nudge in the ball when it was already going in from someone else's shot).
