Des. Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 News just broke on SSN Also just been reported that Steve McClaren is at the club and speaking with their officials
Fox92 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Ridiculas. I feel sorry for him, actually. I know they have lost in the play offs (to the side who went up both times) but look where they were before he took over. Not much of a step forward is Steve McLaren goes there.
Corky Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Billy was never one to complain, he'll take it on the chin.
Fox92 Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 & McLeish has just left Brum too Just seen that on SkySports. He's favourite for the Villa job Most Aston Villa fans are flipping and I'm pretty sure Birmingham fans won't be too pleased.
Zingari Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 i think someone on here said this was going to happen , and that MON was going to take over
sdb Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Would be a weird one. Him to Villa and Davis to Brum? Or to Cardiff and Jones to Brum? Some sort of roundabout scenario in play I predict. MO'N at Forest would be a pretty bitter pill to swallow.
lcfcsnow Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Just seen that on SkySports. He's favourite for the Villa job Most Aston Villa fans are flipping and I'm pretty sure Birmingham fans won't be too pleased. Hmm I'd guess that they would be delighted, after 3 years of his negative turgid football.
RedHux Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Billy was never one to complain, he'll take it on the chin. Bit of shocker despite all the rumours of this happening that nobody believed. Going to be an interesting pre-season.
RedHux Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I agree. Wolfsburg aside he's got a pretty decent club record, I just hope he gets a chance with the fans who don't seem able to think past the "wally with a brolly" headline.
Stevosevic Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I agree. Wolfsburg aside he's got a pretty decent club record, I just hope he gets a chance with the fans who don't seem able to think past the "wally with a brolly" headline. I think he will do a good job for you, going to be competitive next season. Sven V Schteve V Big Sam Any news your end regarding Earnshaw?
RedHux Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 I think he will do a good job for you, going to be competitive next season. Sven V Schteve V Big Sam Any news your end regarding Earnshaw? Earnie keeps tweeting that he's not sure where he'll be next year and that he'll let us know via twitter when something's been decided. Which is probably the same position a good few Forest players are in. It can't be easy with a new manager who I'm going to guess will be given a few quid to throw about the place. Be a good signing for whoever gets him despite his poor season this year.
Iwan is a Welshman Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Regardless of who they appoint the disruption alone means that Cardiff, Birmingham and Forest have all done us a favour this summer. Three good managers have left their posts. McLaren sounds nailed on for Forest. Not a bad appointment he did take 'Boro to the UEFA Cup Final after all. He never should have been given the England job. It wasn't his fault he wasn't qualified/experienced enough for it. Further proof English football's ran by dickheads. A Villa mate of mine is furious about McLeish. Can't see why he did a fine job with Birmingham and has a good record. Wherever Dave Jones goes he'll do a good job. I wouldn't mind seeing us snap up Earnshaw.
leicesterseddon Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Can't see MON going to Forest...not really worried about that happening. As others have said though, will be an interesting pre-season. Sven v. Schteeve....
Guest Bilo Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 No more Wee Jimmy Krankie whining next season then. Well, at least not at the City Ground anyway.
Matt Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 No more Wee Jimmy Krankie whining next season then. Well, at least not at the City Ground anyway. So, so, so glad i'm not the only person that thinks that everytime I see him.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Forest have got a bit greedy. Davies came in when they were bottom of the league and ahs made them into promotion challengers. Surprised Brum are after a new boss too.
Father Ted Posted 12 June 2011 Posted 12 June 2011 Mclaren is a fantastic manager. Look at what he did at Twente and Boro. He will do well if he goes there. He's better than Davies.
